As the tennis world is getting equipped for the Wimbledon Championships 2019, sadly a few former champions and some meritorious players will be absenting themselves from the lawns of SW19 due to their on-going injuries.

It was a gloomy day in the tennis world when Juan Martin Del Potro announced about his knee surgery a few days ago. The reigning semifinalist at Wimbledon re-fractured his right patella at Queen’s and that injury is certainly intimidating his tennis career. His surgery was successful in Barcelona and it was his second knee surgery in less than a year. The ‘Tower of Tandil’ is recuperating from his surgery.

Bianca Andresscu

The Indian Wells 2019 champion, Bianca Andresscu has been suffering tremendously with her shoulder issues. She withdrew from several tournaments including French Open 2019 and due to her ongoing rotator cuff issue, Andreescu has withdrawn from Wimbledon Championships 2019.

Borna Coric became the lastest player to joined the list of casualties at Wimbledon Championships 2019 as due to his back pain he was compelled to withdraw from the grass-court major a day after the men’s draw was unveiled.
