The 17-year-old has won her opening three matches without dropping a set. On the other hand, Angelique Kerber has been managing to sail herself through the rough seas she encountered in the first week.

Out of her three matches, two of them have been decided in the third set. In the third round, she was down a set and was clearly looking off-page when the rain came down and halted play. However, she did come back a different player upon resumption.
