Novak Djokovic had little trouble disposing off the challenge of Bernard Tonic in a 6-3, 6-3, 6-3 win. Djokovic will now face the big serving Kevin Anderson(14), who defeated Leonardo Mayer in straight sets.

French Open Champion Stan Wawrinka muscled his way into the next round after making light work of Spaniard Fernando Verdasco. He won 6-4, 6-3, 6-4.
Nick Kyrgios defeated the Canadian Milos Raonic 5-7, 7-5, 7-6, 6-3 in a highly entertaining fixture. In a battle of serves and fierce baseline shots, the young Australian proved better and took his revenge of last year’s defeat at Wimbledon.
Grigor Dimitrov(11), the semifinalists here last year, lost to Frenchman Richard Gasquet. It was a disappointing performance, adding to his poor run this season. He never looked in command and surrendered the match 3-6, 4-6, 4-6.
2004 Champion Maria Sharapova put on a solid performance to beat Irina Begu 6-4 6-3.

Victoria Azarenka can be one of the threats to the top seeds in the next week. She defeated Kristina Mladenovic 6-4, 6-4 in a display of sublime Tennis that took her to top of the rankings a few years back.
Lucie Safarova came from a set down to beat the talented Sloane Stephens 3-6, 6-3, 6-1.
The evening at Centre Court ended with the match of the week so far, as Heather Watson almost pulled off an incredible win against Serena Williams. Heather led 3-0 in the decider and then served at 5-4 only to be denied by the great Williams.

The match saw some phenomenal defense by Watson and brutal Williams force, that eventually took her through. Watson saved two match points but couldn’t handle a deep return of Serena on the third. Williams showed her emotional beast, literally screaming after every point she won.
With a final score of 6-2, 4-6 , 7-5, it ended in the favor of World Number 1.
