Nick Kyrgios has yet again provided a game full of entertainment for the fans at Wimbledon. After a late-night curfew forced his first round match to get suspended, Kyrgios and Ugo Humbert took to court today. They made sure that the fans get their money’s worth. The two players resumed play at 3-3 in the fifth set, and Kyrgios won the deciding set 9-7.

The fifth set was full of drama, with Kyrgios slipping and falling on the court, and crying out in pain. Fortunately, no harm was done as the Aussie soon got back on his feet and went on to wrap up the match.

I was in so much pain physically after last night, been a long time since I’ve played… I’m using this as a change of scenery really. I’m gonna go to the hotel, play some Call of Duty with my girlfriend and come back out again!” said Kyrgios after his match.

He will be back for the second-round match on Friday.

Kyrgios shouting in pain after his fall

Kyrgios raised a few eyebrows when he slipped during the fifth set. He is the latest player to experience a slip on the grass-court after Serena Williams and Novak Djokovic made headlines for their tumbles. The Aussie screamed in pain, “Ah, f***’,” as he slipped at the backline. However, the World No60 was back on his feet and continued in some fashion to win the match.

Just yesterday, Kyrgios was complaining about the grass on the court, calling it a joke.
