People have constantly criticized Esports for its imbalanced sex ratio. We see almost all major teams and important positions occupied by male members. However, as part of the Valorant Ignition Series, Nerd Street Gamers held a women-only tournament. The first of its kind tournament called FTW Summer Showdown saw participation from all the major female Esports teams.

MAJKL Valorant took first place in the tournament, winning $25,000. Moreover, the victory helped them make a mark on the Esports scene as a strong contender. Since then, MAJKL has been taking part in Valorant tourneys, competing against star-studded rosters. Additionally, they have been doing really well, placing in the top 10 regularly. Their hard-work has finally paid off as a major organization recently signed them as their official all-female Valorant roster.

Cloud9 signs MAJKL as its all-female Valorant roster

Cloud9 recently announced on their website that they have successfully signed the MAJKL Valorant roster. The roster will be called Cloud9 White and compete alongside the main C9 roster called Cloud9 Blue. The Cloud9 White roster consists of Alexis “alexis” Guarrasi, Annie “Annie” Roberts, Jasmine “Jazzyk1ns” Manankil, “Katsumi”, and Melanie “meL” Capone.

While announcing this, C9 said, “We’re also happy to reveal that AT&T has come on board as Cloud9 White’s official presenting partner. We are all ecstatic to be welcoming the first all-women’s roster in the organization’s history, and we look forward to seeing what all members of C9 VALORANT can achieve in competition!”

C9 admitted that they were fascinated by MAJKL’s performance and placements in recent tournaments. Additionally, they also agreed that their support sends out a strong message to the community to fight against the gender discrimination that is prevalent in the gaming community.

The team is pretty excited about the future of their latest roster. They can’t wait to see them in action side by side with the C9 Blue roster in Riot’s First Strike tournament starting on October 26.
