We are just 1 month away from another edition of the WNBA All-Star games. This time, the city of Indiana gets to host it! You can expect the Gainbridge Fieldhouse to be packed with fans on the 19th of July to watch their favorite players take to the court. And now the first round of votes are already in. Any guesses which team dominates the list? It’s Caitlin Clark’s Indiana Fever!
The Indiana Fever are dominating the first round of WNBA All-Star fan voting, with a league-high eight players making it into the Top 40. Aliyah Boston, Kelsey Mitchell, Lexie Hull, Natasha Howard, DeWanna Bonner, Sophie Cunningham, and Damiris Dantas have all made the top 40 list.
And leading the charge? Caitlin Clark, of course! She sits at number 1 with an incredible 515,993 votes. Right behind her is Napheesa Collier with 484,758. Both are more than deserving of their spots. Not only are they front-runners in the MVP race, but they’re also about togo head to head in the Commissioner’s Cup final.

Last year’s MVP A’ja Wilson currently finds herself in the 4th spot, behind Fever’s Aliyah Boston. After the first round of voting, Wilson got 446,961 votes. Not something you would expect. But that has been pretty much the story of the first round of fan voting.
Big names like Allisha Gray, Angel Reese, Alyssa Thomas, and Brittney Sykes didn’t crack the top 10, and that didn’t sit well with the W community. But it’s worth remembering that this is just the first round of voting! It only accounts for 50% of the total fan votes. There’s still time for things to shift, and with how close the numbers are, don’t be surprised if Collier overtakes Clark in the coming rounds.

Caitlin Clark is putting up solid numbers this season! She is averaging 19.9 points, 5.7 rebounds, and 8.7 assists per game. But she’s up against some elite competition. Napheesa Collier leads the league in scoring with 24.4 points per game, and A’ja Wilson? The reigning MVP, is the only player ranked in the top 3 across four major statistical categories. So yes, the on-court battle is tight. But when it comes to popularity? There’s no contest. Clark is in a league of her own.
At the end of the day, where these three end up in the voting doesn’t really matter. Caitlin Clark, Napheesa Collier, and A’ja Wilson are all All-Star caliber talents, and they’ll be part of the game regardless. What are your thoughts about 8 Fever players making top 40?
