Aliyah Boston and Caitlin Clark were set to be the star duo for the Fever before the Iowa sensation even entered Indiana. Since then, we have seen them build their chemistry with each game. Surely, they have enticed their fans with their amazing plays. But what has also won everyone’s hearts is the fact that they step up for each other. Previously, it was the former Gamecock doing the favor. This time, it is the Hawkeye alumna stealing hearts.

Indiana Fever’s beat reporter Matthew Byrne recently posted an update about Caitlin Clark in the postgame press conference. Specifying the fact that she wants the media to stop hyping her out singularly, Byrne wrote, “Three minutes into the presser, all questions were for Caitlin Clark. She fielded all of them, then said to ask questions to Aliyah Boston. Boston waved, “No, I’m good”––Clark then repeated: “Ask Aliyah a question.'”

Certainly, it was a beautiful gesture towards her teammate possibly feeling left out. It comes right after Boston too spoke up for Caitlin Clark in just their last game. Then, a reporter asked the No. 22 guard about her high turnovers. Seeing that the rookie was uncomfortable trying to explain, the forward jumped in. She told the 2x Honda Cup winner that it is okay to have such days. She further clarified that Clark takes many chances on making passes and if some of them turn over, it is not a big deal.

Interestingly, Caitlin Clark had done something similar for Kelsey Mitchell as well. Then too, after answering many questions, the rookie asked the reporters to ask a question to the No. 0 guard. Certainly, the talented 2x National Player of the Year has many tactics to win over followers.

Caitlin Clark fans turn against the media after it indirectly ‘disrespect’ Aliyah Boston

In many of the press conferences, the media asks the rookies the most questions. However, when it comes to Caitlin Clark, the amount simply doubles, if not more. When last night’s press again asked the 2x Naismith Player of the Year multiple questions over three minutes into the presser, Clark’s response won everyone over. One fan commended the 22-year-old for her action. At the same time, they argued that the people asking questions should read the room. They should keep everyone in the conversation.

“She works hard to get teammates involved. Press must do better in pressers with other players.”

Another basketball follower also steamed off at the media by saying that if there are two people, they should ask both of them questions. They suggested how Boston too wants to go away but she is choosing to sit there and give the reporters her time. Hence, they should be more appreciative of the forward.

“I get that everyone has questions for CC. But there are two players at the table. Show AB some appreciation for her time, and throw some questions her way. I’m sure she’s anxious to hit the showers and call it a night.”

One fan pointed out how Caitlin Clark does not let anyone ignore her teammates. After answering many back-to-back questions by the media, the rookie straight out called them out to ask Boston some as well. Consequently, the fan mentioned that AB is not prompt and the reporters should give her the same respect as any other player on the team.

“cc does not take it lightly when the media ignores her teammates, she had already been asked 4 or 5 questions directly, is ab a prompt?”

A WNBA follower gave simple advice to the media. They just requested one reporter to say that the question is for any of the players. Instead, everyone goes for Caitlin Clark and completely forgets about the player sitting beside her. Something similar happened when Mitchell too was sitting beside Clark. Then too the media did not ask her anything for the entire conference until the No. 22 called for it.
