Angel Reese seems to be unstoppable as she continues to push Chicago to the Sky. Grabbing yet another double-digit score in her home debut, Reese has proven that she is quite an unstoppable force. But time and again, she has also proven herself as a great friend and teammate. And hence, with Kamilla Cardoso out of the picture for quite some time, the Chi Barbie has taken the workload on her shoulders. But when will the Killa Milla return to action? Teresa Weatherspoon has an update.
In the post-game interview tonight, T-spoon addressed the gloomy situation surrounding the team. One of their stellar rookies is out with a shoulder injury that she received in her debut game. Notifying everyone, the head coach said, “It’s truly an unfortunate situation because she was doing extremely well. We’ve been told four to six weeks.”

However, Weatherspoon already has much faith in her Brazilian rookie. She commended Kamilla Cardoso saying, “She’s pretty tough. That’s a tough young lady. So, it could very well be before four to six weeks. She is working hard to get herself back as quickly as possible.”

Meanwhile, Chicago’s other rookie– Angel Reese– again swept some good numbers in the frontcourt in the 101-53 win over last year’s finalists, the New York Liberty. Reese contributed 13 points tonight with 5 rebounds and 2 steals. And while the fifty-eight-year-old coach did not have any specifications to provide about the injury, she did talk about how they are going to go through this situation. Looking positively at the condition, the Sky is surely soaring high. But how can these abrupt hurdles affect the game?

She said, “You know your roster. When you have cuts to make, the good thing is, you know the next man up. When the injuries occur, it’s a tough situation because you all know our training camp is very very short. But you still want to make sure you give them an opportunity to be seen. You have to, it’s a must.”

Certainly, Chicago has captured some amazing talents in Kamilla Cardoso, Angel Reese, and Brynna Maxwell. The three have already made their impact in their very first game against the Lynx, though it was an unfortunate loss. Now, the fans have to wait for the 2x NCAA champ to return to the floor and earn her name once again.
