A’ja Wilson and Bam Adebayo’s relationship has taken the basketball community by storm. Both of them are seasoned hoopers, and they frequently manage to stay in the headlines through their basketball records. But on Sunday, it was different as they caught the attention of the fans for something far from the hardwood.

With the Las Vegas Aces’ next game against the Dallas Wings still a few days away, Wilson found the perfect spot to hang out with her boyfriend, Adebayo. The couple attended Game 3 of the NHL Conference finals between the Vegas Golden Knights and the Colorado Avalanche at the T-Mobile Arena.

In a recent post shared by SportsCenter‘s X handle, the couple is seen in Golden Knights jerseys supporting the Vegas-based franchise. “Bam Adebayo and A’ja Wilson enjoying playoff hockey in Vegas ⚔️” the post’s caption read.

The Vegas Golden Knights didn’t miss out on making the couple’s time special that night. The team clinched the game 5-3 , despite being down 0-3 at one point, registering a stellar comeback.

Mark Stone, William Karlsson, Tomas Hertl, Keegan Kolesar, and Brett Howden scored the goals for the Golden Knights after being down and out after the first period of the game.

Courtesy of this win, the Vegas Golden Knights improve their margin in the series to 3-0 over the Colorado Avalanche. The team is just a win away from reaching the Stanley Cup Finals. It further adds to Las Vegas’s sporting legacy.

Meanwhile, A’ja Wilson, one of the region’s icons, attended the game with her boyfriend, supporting the Golden Knights, underscoring the sport’s growing popularity. And, the fans had plenty to say about it on social media.

Basketball Legacy Chants Echo on Social Media After A’ja Wilson and Bam Adebayo Attend NHL Game

“Bam and Aja out in Vegas, soaking up playoff hockey like it’s date night. Cute to see them supporting another sport while their seasons winding down. Those glitter Knights jerseys hitting different, though,” a fan wrote.

“Elite company off the court too 😄🔥 Seeing stars like that enjoying playoff hockey just shows how connected sports culture really is, competition everywhere, even in the stands ⚔️🏒” stated another.

Both A’ja Wilson and Bam Adebayo are sport freaks, even beyond basketball. For instance, Adebayo is a Formula 1 fan who attended the Miami Grand Prix. On the other hand, Wilson has attended Las Vegas Raiders games in the NFL.

Thus, with an equal passion for different sports, it won’t be wrong to say that the NHL can be a new tryout league for the couple to spend time together off the court, beyond their busy schedules. But while most of the fans are busy raving about their presence in the arena, some aren’t happy with Adebayo attending the Vegas Golden Knights game.

“Any Miami fan ok with Bam wearing that jersey needs to move out of South Florida,” chimed in a netizen.

“Wrong team, Bam. That’s not your home hockey team,” added another fan.

These comments do have a certain background. Some fans believe Adebayo should rally behind the Florida Panthers, given that he represents an NBA franchise based in Miami. Last year, Adebayo attended a Panthers game during game 3 of the Stanley Cup Final against the Edmonton Oilers. He even served as the guest drummer before the game.

Thus, Adebayo, attending a Golden Knights game just a year later, feels uncomfortable for some fans. But from a broader perspective, it’s not really a big deal, since his girlfriend plays for a Vegas-based franchise.

Considering that, it’s quite natural for Wilson to hop onto a Golden Knights game, and Adebayo to join her in the proceedings.

“NBA and WNBA royalty at the Knights game, Vegas is the place to be right now,” remarked another.

A’ja Wilson and Bam Adebayo are undoubtedly one of the hottest basketball couples right now. Thus, their attendance in an already high-stakes game further draws the fans’ attention to the league.

While the Vegas Golden Knights continue their dominance in the series, A’ja Wilson will continue her run with the Las Vegas Aces. After an MVP-winning last season, Wilson has tipped off her season quite well this year. She’s averaging 24.8 points and 7.2 rebounds per game, and her team is currently 4-2.

Bam Adebayo’s season, on the other hand, is over. The Miami Heat couldn’t reach the NBA playoffs this year after losing the play-in tournament to the Charlotte Hornets. Thus, during his offseason, we can also expect to see Adebayo in some Las Vegas Aces games in the coming weeks to support his girlfriend.
