Aliyah Boston has been a steady contributor for the Indiana Fever since being drafted as the first pick by the WNBA franchise in 2023. The 24-year-old has developed a great partnership with Caitlin Clark, the 2024 WNBA first pick by the Indiana Fever, alongside other stars like Sophie Cunningham and Lexie Hull.

Even as the stalled CBA talks continue to put a question mark on the 2026 WNBA season, Boston has been playing Unrivaled Basketball during the current offseason, and her growth has been fearsome. She looks much more aggressive in the paint and has started mixing her game with more medium- to long-range shot attempts as well. Speaking after Phantom BC’s 3-point win over Breeze BC, Boston highlighted how she has been focused on improving her three-point shooting during the offseason.
“I spent the offseason honestly just shooting a lot of threes. I know that’s something I want to be able to be ready to do consistently for the Fever, and so that was definitely my mindset and goal going into it. I think 3-on-3 is definitely helping me continue to work on my timing, on my spacing, just getting a good amount of them up during a game. This is definitely helping,” Boston said.

And while she has only made 8 of them, she found the rhythm against Breeze, knocking down 2 out of her 5 shots. With perimeter defense sometimes hard to navigate, adding the threat of three-point shooting could make her increasingly difficult to guard.
Boston was also asked what her target was in terms of shooting accuracy, and she stated that while 40% would be a brilliant benchmark to achieve, her focus remains on just becoming more comfortable and finding her best spots on the floor when it comes to shooting from beyond the arc.

Meanwhile, the CBA talks are not toning down even a bit.
The WNBA season dates are beginning to mount pressure on all parties to knock out a CBA agreement
The negotiations between the WNBA and the WNBPA for the CBA terms have stalled for a while now. The moratorium is still ongoing. But with less than 100 days left before the start of the 2026 WNBA season, the offseason proceedings have yet to even start because of the delay in agreeing to CBA terms.

The WNBPA earlier clarified that they have been waiting for a month after sending their latest proposal, with reports that the governing body did not like the terms mentioned and chose not to respond. However, player body president Nneka Ogwumike has called out the WNBA for using the CBA terms as an excuse to delay the entire process.
Kelsey Plum has stated that the player representatives are set to meet the league representatives on Monday in New York, with the hope that some teams will also be present at the meeting.
