Wednesday was a historic night for the Las Vegas Aces. But more than A’ja Wilson’s landmark stat line, Alysha Clark’s epic ‘oops’ moment left the whole team and fans in stitches. In the 95-81 win over the Dallas Wings, looks like the 5-ft-11 forward took the title of being the funniest from teammate Sydney Colson. Following the hilarious incident, she herself cannot help but laugh at the ultimate ‘Shaqtin a Fool’ worthy moment.

Alysha Clark banged her head tonight in the second quarter of the game. However, just a few minutes before that, she gave a clueless moment for the Aces to remember. With the game clock reading 3:02 left in the second quarter, the Aces’ No. 7 made an inbound pass to the Wings’ Arike Ogunbowale. The moment turned into a confusion-filled, laughable incident quickly as Clark realized what she had done. Ogunbowale’s reaction only heightened it all. After a brief moment to understand what happened, she missed a three.

The X account Storm Chasers, which primarily covers the Seattle Storm, posted the video for fans to see. They captioned the video, Oh my god, if #SHAQTIN A FOOL was part of the Alysha Clark would have just won the award. I’m sorry AC but this is hilarious. @shaqtin.” Alysha Clark responded to this video by commenting, “oy vey LOL.” She also added a line of laughing emojis to reflect her emotions.

The reigning WNBA Finals MVP A’ja Wilson set the record for being the only player to have 35+ points, 10+ rebounds, and 5+ steals in a game. After winning the game, the crew from Las Vegas could not help but react to what Alysha Clark had done tonight. Neither could the Aces fans, who have previously also mentioned how ‘unserious’ the roster of the reigning champions can be.

A’ja Wilson and Co. laugh at the ultimate ‘oops’ moment by Alysha Clark

It is not every day that Alysha Clark’s mind trails off. But while talking to Becky Hammon during an inbound play, it clearly did. After the play, she herself could not help but laugh at what she had done. Hence, she took it to her Instagram story and shared a not-so-useful explanation.

In her Instagram story, she says, “Soo.. Shaqtin a fool moment today. I got nothing for ya! Just know that my teammates love me through and through. Right A? Right Chels?” While A’ja Wilson responded, “Mhmm!” to the question, Chelsea Gray just said, “No. I don’t know you.” The Aces family later joined the internet to troll the forward.

A’ja Wilson took to her Instagram account to post her reaction. She shared the video and captioned the story, “Lmfaooooooo.” At the same time, Chelsea Gray also shared her views on the incident. Taking the highway, she captioned the Instagram story, “I just really don’t know AC @alyshaclark.”

Clark’s friend and the Just Women’s Sports member Rachel Galligan, too, made her reaction known. She captioned her story, “not @alyshaclark controller glitch!” She followed the line with laughing crying emojis and Clark responded by saying, “Lmbooooo glitch indeed!”

It was quite a change of pace for the usually serious hooper to make such a mistake. However, as the Aces won the game, we know Alysha Clark will not have to suffer longer than needed. With tonight’s game, Las Vegas started their Commissioner’s Cup tourney with a win in the bag.
