Fans turned into Sherlock Holmes when they were trying to figure out Angel Reese’s boyfriend. She kept dropping subtle clues on her instagram and interviews when the rumors popped up in May 2025. Reese shared a photo dump that included multiple pics in an Orlando Jersey with the caption, “rebranding & yes, I got both.”

In which she also shared a Twitter screenshot that read, “ion post my boo or my money; just know i got both.” After months of speculation, fans know that Reese is dating Wendell Carter Jr. on the Magic but now she has revealed her approach to dating. 

“I said finding someone that doesn’t care about all the extra stuff. I don’t want you to fantasize over me because of what you see on social media,” she said in an interview with Michelle Obama. “You know I’m that girl, but at the end of the day, when we go home, you’re still a genuinely good person.”

The ever-present problem for people constantly under spotlight, separating the glitter and glitz from the reality. Reese is one of the most popular WNBA athletes with a foot in the fashion industry as well. She recently appeared on the cover of Vogue Australia and had her runway debut for Victoria Secret. 

Along with that, the multitasker is promoting her signature shoe while appearing in a movie and a television series as well. Reese wants her partner to see her beyond that and she also wants to not advertise it. 

“I have my own, so I don’t need to be with someone for theirs,” Reese said. “I think it was very intentional for me. I date privately. That’s what I’ve learned over the years—don’t put your business out there. Share what you want people to know and keep things private that you want to keep private.”

Her social media has a delicate balance of support for her partner while maintaining a layer of privacy. She has only made a few posts at Orlando Magic games and in their gear, supporting Carter Jr. and reacting to his games. She reposts his highlights and game results as well but nothing beyond that. “I haven’t had a hard life in the dating scene,” she concluded. Another example of WNBA-NBA power couples is Bam Adebayo and A’ja Wilson, who have a different approach.

Wilson and Adebayo have appeared in post-game interviews together. Wilson has even teased a marriage but no confirmed engagement yet. Ultimately, it depends on what works best for that individual. So, even without much info, it seems Reese and Carter are going steady. And while Reese is intentional about what she shares now, she’s just as clear about what comes next

Angel Reese Maps Out Retirement Plans, Eyes Motherhood

Angel Reese loves food. After training, she often enjoys a simple lunch of nuggets, salad, and diet lemonade, and later for dinner, she goes for more elaborate flavors like broccolini, lamb chops, and spicy gumbo with rice. She has even had a McDonald’s Meal named after her. 

“The Angel Reese Special” includes a BBQ Bacon Quarter Pounder with Cheese, medium fries, and a medium drink. She has also admitted to enjoying some Chick‑fil‑A and considers it part of her athletic diet, even as a “cheat” or treat on some days.  She wants to extend that love and learn cooking herself, as she revealed plans to have children. 

“I want to cook, I want to go to culinary school,” Reese said. “Basketball is going to be done one day. I’m going to have kids. The chef can do it one day, but sometimes I have to put it together too.”

Before fans start the rumors, no, she is not pregnant, as far as she has verified. How much more can she take on? Reese already has the WNBA, her modeling, and her brand deals. But learning never stopped for Reese. She graduated from LSU with a degree in Interdisciplinary Studies with concentrations and minors in Communication Studies, Leadership Development and Psychology. A culinary degree might be the next addition to that already stacked resume.
