When Angel Reese watched Victoria’s Secret models last year, she manifested being one. “I’m going to walk in the VS Fashion Show, mark my words,” she captioned while sharing a picture of a Decker bus wrapped in an advertisement for the show. And it hadn’t even been a full year before Angel got her “surreal and full circle” return as one of the models this season. But the manifestation isn’t limited to what AR told you!

Angel Reese recently made history as the first professional athlete to walk in the Victoria’s Secret Fashion Show. The 23-year-old shared the runway with big names like Bella and Gigi Hadid, and legends like Adriana Lima. She wowed in two looks: a pink floral lingerie set with lace and blossoms, paired with a dramatic feathered stole, and, of course, the classic angel wings. Reese even got a modeling coach to perfect her walk, showing just how committed she was.

However, neither the history nor her story with the brand ends there.

The Chi-Town Barbie just revealed that she’s secured a fashion contract with Victoria’s Secret. As she put it best on X, “Since everybody wants to be a part, let me take you behind the scenes. So excited to share my further relationship & the long-term contract I have with VS.” Well, the details of the contract with the global lingerie brand are yet to be disclosed. Most probably, she’ll be making another announcement soon with her Vlog. But, apart from her contract, she’s revealed her intentions already. 

As she added, “I know Victoria’s Secret, we have some great things coming as well, and I’m really excited to announce that soon,….Hopefully I’m an OG like Adriana Lima and walking for 10, 15 years.” Well, that’s huge, especially for a WNBA player, but considering what she’s accomplished so far, it is possible. 

Especially since Reese is even one of the brand’s top ambassadors, and not every model gets that title. After all, these wings symbolize longer partnerships, and models wait years to earn them. For Reese, especially, these collaborations bring nostalgia. From being inside her mom’s wardrobe using her makeup and getting her hair done by her grandmother, AR is now living her childhood fashion dream. But as she takes each step, she ensures she keeps everything she’s been through in mind.

That’s why, when she announced a limited-edition collection with the early 2000s IT-girl brand Juicy Couture – keeping plus-size and tall ladies in mind – she even pointed out the 40-inch inseam of the velour pants. And that isn’t the only thing she’s done along with VS; she’s also become the new face of the brand’s Viva La Juicy perfume.

All this is just a page in her fashion magazine. She’s earned the coveted cover for fashion bible Vogue’s winter issue, attended Met Galas, been to events considered the Oscars of fashion, and even joined the 2025 hosting committee. And all this while, she has a single aim: “I hope I can inspire women and girls everywhere and remind them that we can dominate in our field but also chase our goals outside of it – and for me, that’s getting to walk down fashion and entertainment’s most iconic runway.”

And inspiring she really is – just ask Sophie!

How Sophie’s in awe of Angel’s VS walk?

When AR posted the tweet, the first line caught immense attention. “Since everybody wants to be a part” her statement read. And, naturally, it connected to Sophie. Well, that’s because the Indiana Fever standout had been in awe of Reese’s walk with Victoria’s Secret. “I don’t know, I guess I’m gonna turn into a Victoria’s Secret model. Call me Angel Reese,” she posted on Instagram last week. While her words seemed to be a joke in the beginning, she clarified her thoughts further in one of the recent episodes of the podcast Show Me Something.

She gushed over the idea of taking the stage during a Victoria’s Secret fashion show. “Oh my God, I texted my agents right away, and I was like, please, this has been a dream of mine since second grade. I’ve always wanted to be a Victoria’s Secret Angel,” Cunningham said on her show when Wilson asked about it.

While Sophie molded it all in a funny way by comparing herself to Reese when they took the stage, there’s another manifestation in the making. Is it possible? Well, ever since the controversy around Caitlin Clark, Sophie’s gained enough popularity and a couple of big deals, too. Though she doesn’t have fashion walk experience like AR, that might be a limiting factor. But it might also be the beginning of taunts, as AR just showed up height she’s reached. What do you think?
