“Obviously, I’m going to try to get my teammates on my team. Why wouldn’t I? That’s the goal!” Caitlin Clark had one goal heading into the WNBA draft– to get her teammates back into her team. And mission accomplished! All three players representing the Indiana Fever will suit up for the same side, much to the delight of the home crowd in Indianapolis. But the loyalty didn’t stop there. In a first for WNBA All-Star history, both captains agreed to trade coaches, allowing Phee to reunite with Cheryl Reeve. But let’s not forget that this is the All-Star Game, and the talent pool runs deep! Both Clark and Napheesa Collier have built stacked rosters, and the players themselves have started joining in with their reactions. Let the fireworks begin!

Team Clark will head into the game with high hopes. The starting five is stacked: Caitlin Clark will run the show alongside Sabrina Ionescu, Aliyah Boston, A’ja Wilson, and Satou Sabally. That alone is enough to give any team trouble. But if you thought their starting 5 was good, just watch out for their depth. They have players like Kelsey Mitchell, Gabby Williams, Kiki Iriafen, Sonia Citron, Jackie Young and Kayla Thornton.

Team Collier looks equally strong as well! Making her first All-Star start, Napheesa Collier will be leading a star-studded lineup featuring Breanna Stewart, Allisha Gray, Nneka Ogwumike, and Paige Bueckers. An incredible starting 5 with an even better bench! Players like Courtney Williams, Skylar Diggins, Angel Reese, Alyssa Thomas, Kelsey Plum, and Rhyne Howard complete the list of reserves.

These are two excellent teams, but there’s another interesting storyline to look up to! The revival of college rivalries on the All-Star stage. Caitlin Clark will be going up against a side featuring both Angel Reese and Paige Bueckers! The two names are forever tied to her college journey.

Clark vs. Reese has always brought fireworks. From LSU’s title win to Iowa’s revenge in the Elite 8, their rivalry has turned into one of the most talked-about storylines in the W. And then there’s Paige. Once the higher-ranked prospect came out of high school, she and Clark were always destined to reach the top. If not for those untimely injuries to Paige, we might’ve seen both of them make their W debuts together.

Last year, fans got a treat watching Reese and Clark team up on the same side. But that won’t be the case this time around. Following the draft, Reese, along with a few others, reacted to the All-Star draft.

Angel Reese and other WNBA stars react to the All-Star draft

Angel Reese took to X to post a series of tweets during the draft. It began with a tweet that read “#TeamPHEE” which effectively is her reaction after getting picked by Collier. But she didn’t stop there. Moments later, she followed it up with “#SoUNRIVALED😉” A not-so-subtle reference to the Unrivaled linkup that was happening at Team Phee. After all, both co-founders, Phee and Stewie, along with several players who played in the tournament, are going to don the same jersey.

That sentiment was reiterated by the Unrivaled page as well, which put up a tweet with a caption, “Phee plays about a lot of things… but NOT ME🤪” to which Napheesa herself responded in style, replying, “Never you, booski.” With Collier, Stewie, and the reigning champion with Rose BC, Angel Reese, all on the same side, the All-Star game is about to get the taste of some Unrivaled energy!

Reese wrapped up her All-Star draft commentary with a final post on X, which read, “nah team PHEE is STACKEDDD🙂‍↔️” And honestly? She’s got a point. With names like Breanna Stewart, Napheesa Collier, Nneka Ogwumike, Paige Bueckers, and Alyssa Thomas all on the same side, it feels like a walking cheat code. Every single player on Team Phee is a certified match-winner.

But team Clark isn’t going to be any pushovers either. “Team Clark let’s get it🔥🔥we lit,” said Aliyah Boston who is clearly delighted to be a part of Team Clark. Boston, who’ll be making her first All-Star start, gets to share the frontcourt with none other than reigning MVP A’ja Wilson. And if that wasn’t already dangerous enough, you have got the backcourt comprising the two best shooters in the game! Clark and Sabrina!
