Angel Reese is doing something else. The star of the Chicago Sky is no longer just a basketball player. A lot of people are linking the WNBA to hip-hop and pop culture through her. She recently had rapper Flo Milli on her podcast to talk about life, sports, music, and being a mother. And amid all those topics, she also went a step further and made an enthusiastic statement for the rapper.

During their chat about WNBA, Reese asked Flo Milli to come to WNBA games in person. It happened when they were talking about Flo Milli’s past performances at sporting events. “Okay. I know you performed like at some WNBA and some NBA stuff. How do you like performing at sporting events?”

Flo Milli responded positively, saying, “That was fun. Like that was something new for me. Like I actually said, I wanted to start going to more games.” And Reese, without any hesitation, said, “We got to get you to a game, girl.”
Reese’s invitation is important because she had a great 2025 season. Reese played in 30 games and averaged 14.7 points on 45.8 percent shooting, even though she missed 14 games because of a stubborn back injury. She also had 12.6 rebounds per game, which was the best in the league, and 3.7 assists and 1.5 steals.

These numbers got her selected as an All-Star for the second year in a row, showing that she can still have an impact on the WNBA even when she’s hurt. Her status as a two-time All-Star makes her WNBA invitations important for celebrities who want to really get involved in sports.

But coming back to their conversation, Flo Milli and Reese talked about more than just basketball. The rapper also talked about how her relationship with sports and being a mother has changed over time. Flo Milli was honest when she said what her favorite teams were.
“I’m not even going to lie to you. Like, I don’t watch sports like that, but I’m trying to get into it. I’m trying. Like my man, he’s teaching me certain. But I’m just such a girl. Like, I don’t know. Yeah, cuz I don’t want to feel left out. Like I want to understand, like all the like I think he is. He’s so strong. Like, I feel like I don’t know. He might have to be a football player,” she continued.

Flo Milli’s honesty about her life adds depth to her growing interest in sports. In April 2025, the 25-year-old gave birth to her first child, a baby boy named Sixx, with rapper G6Reddot. She has publicly defended her choice to keep performing shortly after becoming a mother. Her honest talks about being a parent on Reese’s podcast and other platforms show how modern artists balance their career goals with being a new parent.
And while Flo Milli is trying to balance being a mother and growing her career, Angel Reese is pushing her team to do their best.

The WNBA is growing at an amazing rate, with two new teams joining for 2026. However, the league could lose the whole season because of ongoing CBA negotiations. Stars like Reese have been very clear about what they need to be sure of before they sign any deal. She’s telling everyone in the organization to do their part during this important offseason when the future of the league is at stake.

She made her point clear, according to The Spun. “I’m not settling for the same s— we did this year,” Reese said. “We have to get good players. We have to get great players. That’s a nonnegotiable for me.”
As the situation grows, her demands become part of a bigger discussion about player power and group demands during CBA negotiations. Not only is she building her own platform, but she’s also changing what the WNBA expects of itself.
