If there’s one thing we know about Angel Reese, it’s that silence isn’t her style. Whether it’s dropping her Angel Reese 1s in new colorways or becoming a Victoria’s Secret Angel, she always finds a way to make headlines. And today, she’s done it again. The Chicago Sky star hinted at yet another future collaboration, this time with an old pal of hers, someone whom she’s held the highest respect for.

This was just hours after appearing on the NBA 2K26 Special SLAM Edition cover alongside Shai Gilgeous-Alexander and Carmelo Anthony. In a short clip that’s now going viral, Angel Reese said, “Me and Paige actually have something really big coming up together. Stay tuned.” And that’s it.

Ever since then, fans have been trying to guess… from a fashion collab to a basketball docuseries, or maybe even the Wings star joining the next episode of her podcast, Unapologetically Angel. It literally could be anything. While nothing has been confirmed, one thing’s clear: Something big is definitely brewing.

Their partnership, however, isn’t as surprising as it seems. Angel Reese and Paige Bueckers go way back. They first crossed paths in high school as part of the 2020 recruiting class. “I’ve known Paige for a long time. We were the No. 1 and No. 2 players in our class, so we’ve been in a relationship for a really long time,” the Sky star shared during the All-Star Weekend.

Although they took different paths in college, their bond seems to be growing faster than ever in the pros. From sharing laughs at the 2025 WNBA All-Star Game to hyping each other up online, they’ve developed an admirable friendship!

Inside Angel Reese and Paige Bueckers’ heartwarming friendship

Angel Reese and Paige Bueckers together landed in the spotlight in mid-July. That’s when they teamed up for the All-Star Weekend in Indianapolis. While the Wings sensation started for Team Collier, Reese came off the bench. And though both made their mark on the court, it was their smiles that stole the show. Their connection felt so natural that even fans joked they looked like Jack and Rose from Titanic!

Ever since then, they’ve been hyping each other up nonstop. In October, Reese shared some love for Bueckers on her pod, saying, “That’s my dog. I love Paige… I’m really happy to see her grow. She did a lot of great things in the league this year.” Her words came just weeks after Paige won WNBA Rookie of the Year, averaging 19.2 points and 5.4 assists, despite playing on a struggling Dallas Wings team that tied with the Chicago Sky for the league’s worst record.

In the same month, Reese kept the energy alive with a sweet birthday message for her pal, writing, “Happy birthday pskiiiii.” She added to the birthday love when Bueckers posted her vacation photos captioned “Tropical tonesss🏝️,” by dropping a comment that fans loved. She penned, “Tan mamiiiii😍.”

On the other hand, when Reese made headlines for her stunning appearance at Victoria’s Secret, Paige hyped her up, commenting, “Strutted your stuff” under E! News’ post featuring Angel’s quote, “I’m not just doing this for me. I’m doing it for everyone who looks like me.”

So yes, their friendship is the real deal. It’s built on mutual respect, laughter, and a shared love for the game. And now, with Reese teasing a big announcement, fans can’t help but wonder what’s next. What do you predict?
