With every breath, Caitlin Clark seems to break a new record. On and off the court. Case in point: The record-breaking NIL deal she signed with Nike in 2022, which turned into $28 million 8-year deal when she turned pro. The fans have been crying out for her signature shoes since then. And, now, finally, their wish is being granted.

On Monday, Caitlin Clark and Nike officially announced her signature shoe line, with the drop of her official logo. It consists of 2 interlocking C’s and a smaller, hidden C which Nike says represents her “magnetic connection with fans around the globe who are drawn to her unwavering confidence, steadfast commitment and remarkable shooting ability” and how “Caitlin’s game was built from the inside out — a product of her passion for the sport, relentless drive and constant pursuit of perfection.”

Even ClutchPoints announced this breaking news on their social handles, with a caption, “Caitlin Clark’s official logo is here. Clark’s full signature apparel collection drops October 1, with her first signature shoe arriving in 2026. All part of the historic 8-year, $28 million endorsement deal she signed with Nike in April 2024.”

While hardcore CC fans couldn’t stop gushing over this announcement, another section of the fans brought up comparisons with Angel Reese’s Reebok deal (of course). While Reese has already announced, she toppled Clark on social media.

Fans stand in solidarity with Angel Reese

While Nike unveiled Caitlin Clark’s sleek logo, fans argued against the new design. Despite boasting of an edge-cutting design and modern bold lettering that resembles a basketball and reads “CC”, fans gave their final verdict on the controversial logo. They argued that the Chicago Sky star, Angel Reese, has a better logo than Clark’s. “To be honest, the most visually appealing among the five and most identifiable is Angle Reese’s logo. Then Sabrina’s (though hers could be confused with Syracuse),” a user wrote.

Another fan chimed in, praising Reese’s curved and elegant “AR” lettering over Clark’s. “For me, I prefer AR; the CC has to grow on me, and Sabrina’s looks like Slam magazine’s logo.” While the NY Liberty star has a commonplace logo, Reese’s design has an edge over the other players. As the latest custom design on the block, people need to get used to the Indiana Fever player’s logo. But till then, “Angel’s is the best, clearly,” is how most W fans see it.

Does Angel Reese's logo truly outshine Caitlin Clark's, or is it just fan bias?

Angels’ logo reminds me of the movie, ‘Angels in the Outfield’ for some reason. The only one I don’t get is the A’ja logo.” While this fan took a nostalgic route to the light-hearted baseball film to compare the most stylish logo in the league, they also shared a major concern. With a splash and a bold letter I that resembles WI and a sneaker when tilted, the user critiqued A’ja Wilson’s customized logo instead.

And though people vouched for Sabrina Ionescu’s bold S logo that reads similar to that of Clark’s, one thing is certain. Angel Reese beats the other players for the best logo so far. “Angel’s is the most identifiable and cuter than all of them. Then A’ja’s is kind of cool, and Breanna’s. The other two- kind of lazy logos, and they have them anything,” a comment stated.

While Reese’s logo reads elite and like a Barbie’s, the fan also found A’ja Wilson and Breanna Stewart’s designs modern and logo-worthy. But talking about Caitlin Clark and Sabrina Ionescu, they felt the design to be lazy and unimaginative. And as fans come to terms with Nike’s latest update, it will be exciting to watch the brand and Clark unveil the upcoming sneaker collection.
