And tonight, as she dropped her very first WNBA triple, her agent and closest friend Jeanine Ogbonnaya has something to ask the hating crowd.

Tonight, Angel Reese dropped her 12th consecutive double-double of the rookie season against the Seattle Storm. She now ties Candace Parker for the longest streak for the same in league history. In fact, out of her standout performance of 27 points and 10 rebounds, another aspect stood up for the seventh overall pick. It was her two shots from beyond the arc. Consequently, one of her biggest supporters and her agent, Jeanine Ogbonnaya, shared the big news with her Instagram followers.

Uploading the post by the WNBA, Ogbonnaya asked Angel Reese’s haters, “What they gonna say now?!” In the clip, the rookie picks up a deflected possession from Isabelle Harrison with just 15 seconds left on the game clock in the 2nd quarter. She pulled up for a three from the wing where she was standing, lodging her first for the season. With the same confidence, she pulled up for another three-pointer with just 6:16 minutes remaining in the game.

In tonight’s game, Reese also added a season-high 27 points. Of these, 16 points were in the first half only. She capped the night with 2 assists and 2 blocks. However, there was a lot in this game that intrigued the 10,725 fans in the Climate Pledge Arena in Seattle.

A recap on how Angel Reese pushed the Sky to take down Seattle

The Bayou Barbie certainly put up a show for the Seattle fans tonight in the neck-to-neck matchup. They have now tied in the 3-game season series with 1 win each. Another brilliant performance came from Chennedy Carter, who played 36 minutes. She contributed 33 points, going 15 of 24 from the field and 3 of 5 from the free throw line. She also helped the team with 4 rebounds, 3 assists, 3 steals, and a block.

Surprisingly, Seattle Storm kept the visitor’s best player in the opening month Marina Mabrey to a mere 8 points. Still, she facilitated the plays with 7 assists and also notched 4 rebounds on the road win. Kamilla Cardoso flirted with a double-double with 9 points and 8 rebounds. On the other hand, while all starters for Seattle had double-digit scores, it was not enough to overcome the relentless chasers of Chicago.

Now that the Sky has sealed yet another win, they have climbed up the conference ladder and are now in the third position. As for the league, they have further improved their playoff contention by getting higher up to the 7th rank for the first time this season. Of course, it is also because the Atlanta Dream dropped two positions with tonight’s loss to the Dallas Wings and are under the young Indiana Fever in the rankings. It will surely be worthwhile to see how long Angel Reese can keep up with her double-doubles for the Sky.
