It might be the WNBA playoffs time, but one player who has stayed in the spotlight without even being in the playoffs is Angel Reese. By now, everyone knows about her comments on her teammates and the team’s direction, which has set social media on fire. But little did we know that the moments before that would be the last time we’d see the Bayou Barbie on the court this season.

Reese was suspended for one half of the game against the Aces, but since then, she hasn’t suited up due to a back injury. That absence sparked speculation that her time in Chicago could be coming to an end. However, Sky GM Jeff Pagliocca quickly put those rumors to rest. “Angel is an ascending young talent in this league who’s had two very, very good seasons here in Chicago,” Pagliocca said. “Obviously we went through what we did. I feel like we closed the chapter on it. She spoke to her teammates. She spoke publicly. We moved on as a team. She’s a special player. And I have good conversations with Angel daily, with her team daily. They’re constant, and they’re productive.”

But clearly, things might not be as settled as the Sky front office suggests. The host of the Keep The Vision YouTube channel has now dropped a major revelation about Reese — one that could have a direct impact on her future with the Chicago Sky. Angel “Reese had me in tears, y’all. I can’t even lie to you, bro. Angel Reese is hilarious. She had fans at the game literally chanting, ‘Fire Jeff P.’,” the host said, before going on to reveal two major incidents that, according to him, pour cold water on Jeff Pagliocca’s efforts of trying to keep this situation under control.

He first pointed to an incident where Angel posted what she called her last “OOTD” of the year, dancing right before the Sky’s final game of the season. Reacting to it, KTV’s host said, “She played y’all, Sky. Hey Jeff, she played y’all. She didn’t even show up to the exit meeting.

This is where things get even more interesting. According to Winsidr’s C-Way, Angel Reese skipped the team’s exit interviews and pushed hers to a later date. At the time, no explanation was given. But now, the picture looks clearer. Maurice pointed to another clip shared by BricksCenter on X, showing Angel “twe-king” on a flight to Vegas just six hours after the Sky’s game against the Liberty. Naturally, this fueled even more questions about whether her back injury was really keeping her off the court.

“Yo, she played y’all. This is her after the game on the jet on the way to Vegas. She told you. Y’all knew she had a prior obligation. Y’all ain’t know it was this sh-t. Y’all didn’t know she was going to Vegas to party and celebrate this season being over,” he said.

Now, of course, she’s absolutely entitled to party once a long season ends. While fans keep questioning whether her back injury was legit or not, the fact remains that Reese stayed with the team everywhere they went after her comments. She apologized, served her suspension, and kept showing up. Reese has never been someone to shy away from a challenge, and she proved her loyalty by traveling with the team instead of sitting at home.

But her Vegas trip was more than just partying. She was there to witness history…

According to a video posted by Netflix, Angel Reese was spotted backstage at Allegiant Stadium meeting Terence Crawford ahead of his big fight. In another clip shared by Netflix, Reese even threw a few playful punches before the bout. And on a night that turned into one of boxing’s most unforgettable moments, she wasn’t the only star in attendance. The crowd included legends and celebrities like Mike Tyson, Sofia Vergara, and Charlize Theron, all there to witness Crawford claim the undisputed super middleweight title via an unanimous decision.

So, it’s possible that Reese’s “prior obligation” was actually attending the Crawford fight, which could explain why she had to reschedule her exit meeting. And it’s worth noting that she wasn’t the only Sky player absent. Ariel Atkins also missed the session. So while it makes sense that fans are getting restless and rumors are starting to swirl, it’s better to let the full picture play out before jumping to conclusions.
