Who said the Caitlin Clark effect would not plague the WNBA? In fact, the impact happened even before the NCAA’s scoring queen touched a basketball in Indiana. Clark has brought more followers, sales, and overall profits for the Fever in just 3 days. So who’s at the top when comparing the ticket prices for No. 22’s games against her NCAA rivals, Reese and Cardoso’s Sky? Also, how is their much-anticipated matchup going to hurt your wallet?

Yes, hurt. The Fever is already selling its tickets at almost triple the cost as in previous years, thanks to their No. 1 draft pick of the year. Currently, the other matchups for Indy will cost you an average of $174 per ticket. Single tickets, if available, will begin at as low as $24 for some games. On the other hand, Reese’s Sky is selling its single tickets at an average price of $31, with an average rate of $250 per ticket. While you cannot get your hands on two close seats directly, the resale market has a number for you. If you want to enjoy watching Bayou Barbie and Killa Milla show their dual powers together, you can get two seats for $112.

Clearly, there is quite a distinction between both numbers, with an overall separation of $83 on average. Fever is surely kicking off its 2024 season on a high note. Apart from these numbers, Indy has also seen a rise in the average sales front.

In just a few hours of her official announcement with the team, Caitlin Clark added a whopping 182% increase in average tickets sold. However, when given the chance to watch the sweat-breaking competition between the duo, Angel Reese-Kamilla Cardoso, and Clark, people are throwing their money. But to what extent?

Caitlin Clark vs the double trouble of Reese and Cardoso

The marquee matchup will take place in the Wintrust Arena, scheduled for June 23, 2024. However, the home arena, which has already almost sold out its 10,000-person capacity, might shift to the United Center. Moving to the latter would mean more ticket availability and, hence, more profits for the entities involved.

According to sources, only single tickets are available for Indiana’s first game against the Sky. Thus, if you want to go with a friend, stay ready to be disappointed with two different positions. But if you still want to experience the ‘real heat’ this summer, you can grab the single tickets for $225 plus the fees.

To everyone’s relief, except for the estate plans, Ticketmaster is still selling some ‘verified resale tickets’ online. Beware that it might be a sore punch to your finances, as these tickets will cost you anything from $366 to $1700 per ticket. The trio will come face-to-face again later, on August 30, 2024. Fortunately, you can find some seats together without going to the secondary markets. Ticketmaster is selling ‘verified resale tickets’ for this game as well, priced in the range of $225 to $1,738 per ticket.

The game might not just rewrite history but also land a major event in women’s basketball. Boasting the likes of two NCAA champions coming together against their finalist opponent can be quite a sight to see. So, are you ready to witness this epic clash?
