Almost four years after first signing Caitlin Clark in 2022, Nike unveiled the Caitlin 1 last month. The league celebrated the announcement of Clark’s highly anticipated signature shoe with a post captioned “The wait is over.” Even though the shoe won’t hit shelves until October 1, interest hasn’t slowed. Moreover, Nike has revealed a new colorway in each of the past three weeks, and Clark herself introduced the fourth, keeping the momentum going.

Just a day after the Fever handed the Las Vegas Aces their biggest loss of the season, winning 109-75, Clark debuted the colorway in her Instagram story. She teased the “Snow White” edition by posting a close-up photo of herself holding the pair, accompanied only by a white circle and a snowflake emoji.

The estimated $140 “Snow White” colorway comes with a clean all-white upper, highlighted by metallic silver and blue accents. Layered white Swooshes add texture, while the blue “CC” logo on the tongue gives it a standout touch. The outsole is finished in translucent blue. The newest colorway follows Clark’s Instagram-centric marketing for the upcoming exclusive sneaker.

Following the Instagram debut of her third colorway, Clark wore the yellow-and-blue version before the Fever’s game against the Sparks on July 8. So it didn’t come as a surprise when CC wore the “Snow White” edition on the WNBA court.

She also wore the new colorway when the Indiana Fever took on the Golden State Valkyries on Wednesday. Although they lost 88-75 against the Valkyries, eagle-eyed fans spotted her wearing the pair during the 26 min she was on the court.

Well, with Nike unveiling new colorways almost every week, it’s easy to forget that just a few months ago, fans didn’t even know when Caitlin Clark‘s first signature sneaker would arrive. They waited for months as speculation continued before Nike finally made the long-awaited announcement.

$28 million Nike deal, the logo, and Caitlin Clark’s signature sneakers

Caitlin Clark’s first signature shoe didn’t happen overnight. It came after she became one of basketball’s biggest stars, signed a landmark Nike deal, and spent nearly two years developing the sneaker.

Before turning pro, Clark attracted interest from Nike, Adidas, and Under Armour, with each brand reportedly offering her a signature shoe. She eventually chose Nike, signing a record eight-year, $28 million deal. But for Clark, the decision wasn’t just about the money.

“I grew up wanting to be a Nike athlete. Every kid does. Nike Jordan, like, that’s the premier brand,” the Des Moines native once said.

Therefore, when Clark entered the WNBA with the Indiana Fever, many expected her signature shoe to arrive right away. Instead, Nike spent nearly two years developing it. The wait finally ended this year with the official launch of the Caitlin 1.

The shoe also reflects Clark’s journey. According to sneaker insider Nick DePaula, the outsole features three of her signature phrases: “Shoot More Threes,” “From Anywhere,” and “It was never a long shot.” Each one captures her fearless style of play.

And for Clark, that’s exactly what she wanted the shoe to represent: “If it inspires even one kid to work harder or fall in love with the game, that’s what makes it special.”

Now, with a fourth colorway unveiled, the Caitlin 1 continues to build excitement ahead of its release. Beyond the sneaker itself, the Caitlin 1 reflects Clark’s goal.
