Indiana Fever’s Caitlin Clark once again showed the world why she is arguably the best three-point shooter in the WNBA, this time via an appearance with internet celebrity MrBeast. In a video where MrBeast bet $100,000 against the likes of LeBron James from the NBA, Erling Haaland from soccer, and Alyssa Liu from ice skating to beat them in their sport, he picked Clark from the WNBA. However, MrBeast challenged Clark to something he probably shouldn’t have if he wanted to win the contest he set: a three-point shootout.

“This is Caitlin Clark, one of the greatest female basketball players on the planet,” is how MrBeast introduced Clark to the viewers in his latest YouTube video.

“And I’m challenging her to a shootout,” MrBeast added, to which the Fever star replied, “You’re cooked, but let’s do it,” as if she already knew she’d win.

MrBeast then began explaining the rules of the shootout. The prize money for a successful half-court attempt was a whopping $50,000. However, MrBeast set another optional challenge for Clark. If the 24-year-old wanted, she could win an additional $50,000 if she hit successful shots from just outside the arc. As we all know, Clark’s winning mentality meant she straightaway chose that option first, and the shootout was set to begin.

In the WNBA, Clark has regularly faced the best perimeter defenders and athletic guards, from Kahleah Copper and Jackie Young to Rhyne Howard and DiJonai Carrington, all of whom have frequently been deployed to hound Clark high up the floor, sometimes full-court, to wear down her energy and disrupt Indiana’s initiation. So, with nobody defending Clark in the shootout, it was basically child’s play for the Fever star.

Clark shot four times from outside the arc and, as expected, she swished all four, winning $40,000. In the meantime, Clark was trash-talking MrBeast and his friends, Nolan and Tareq, who failed to hit even a single shot on target. Next came the half-court attempt. While Clark missed the first time by a whisker, it was nothing but net on her second attempt. In total, Clark won an astounding $90,000 for what was normal shooting practice for her.

Clark hitting three-pointers is nothing new, as she gained popularity in her NCAA days with Iowa for the same. Clark finished her collegiate career as the all-time leader in three-pointers made, with 548 career three-pointers. Her flow didn’t stop in her rookie season at the W, as Clark set the record for most three-pointers made by a rookie with 122, and the fastest player in league history to make 200 career three-pointers. Even in the 2026 WNBA season, Clark was the fifth-best player from the three-point line in the regular season, averaging 2.9 per game, according to ESPN.

MrBeast inviting Clark for his video from the WNBA is also a sign of recognition. MrBeast is a huge sports fan himself, but in 2024, when Clark’s arrival in the WNBA literally changed the league’s landscape and mainstream perception, he admitted he’d never watched a WNBA game before Clark came along. In addition, when Nike signed Clark for an eight-year, $28 million deal, MrBeast commented, “2 low, that’s a steal,” on one of the posts highlighting that news.

After winning the $90,000, Clark told MrBeast she will donate the money to the Caitlin Clark Foundation, which she launched in 2023 with a mission “to uplift and improve the lives of youth and their communities through education, nutrition, and sport.” It was a successful collaboration from both Caitlin Clark and MrBeast’s POV, and the Fever star will now look forward to other offseason plans.
