Caitlin Clark had already given the Indiana Fever plenty to celebrate in Game 2 against the Las Vegas Aces. But after one of the biggest shots of her night, the star guard added a second moment, this time featuring Candace Parker, in quick succession that had WNBA fans talking long after the ball went through the net.

The moment occurred in the fourth quarter, with about 4:31 left on the clock. Clark held the ball at the top of the key, guarded by A’ja Wilson, but instead of calling a play or passing to an open teammate, the guard immediately pulled up from deep for a long three-pointer, hitting back rim and going in. However, it was what followed that made the highlight.
On the run back to defense, she looked over at the broadcast deck and called out in Parker’s direction, sending a few words her way. The moment was caught on broadcast, and Parker was asked by her fellow broadcasters about what Clark told her. The moment was clipped and posted to Instagram by B/R W Sports.
“I don’t know what Caitlin Clark just said, but whatever hyped her up,” Parker said. “That was a big shot right there.”
The moment came during a game the Fever couldn’t afford to lose. They came into the night after dropping Game 1, 102-85, beaten by a masterclass 38-point performance from A’ja Wilson. The Fever were facing elimination from the best-of-three series against the Aces in Game 2, but managed to bounce back due in large part to Clark.
The Fever guard finished with 27 points on 9-for-18 shooting, knocking down five threes, while also dishing out 15 assists and seven rebounds. She made history, becoming the first player in league history to have at least 25 points and 15 assists in the same game.
She also became the first player to log a point-assist double-double in one half of a playoff game, finishing the first two quarters with 14 points and 11 assists. Indiana was up by five then, and Clark explained her process during her halftime interview.
“Just trying to play fast,” Clark said. “I think creating turnovers is helping us a lot on offense, so keep going (in) the second half.”
What made Clark’s comment to Parker interesting is that earlier in the game, the broadcaster had made a particularly harsh comment about Clark’s play. When Clark failed to draw a foul and gave up fast break points while arguing with referees, Parker called her out on the air.
“Right here, you gotta get back on defense, Caitlin,” she said. “This is the playoffs, you can talk to the refs later.”
But it was Caitlin Clark’s second interaction with the seven-time WNBA All-Star that caused fans to rush to the comment section of the B/R W Sports to express their excitement.

One fan summed up the entire game, capturing the intensity of Indiana’s comeback after a tough Game 1 loss.

Another fan was even more hyped up about the Fever, and Clark’s performance in particular, and was impressed with how Caitlin Clark’s numbers took over a game when their season was on the line.
“Dawgggggg why she woke up like that really put the f****** team on her back 🔥🔥🔥,” the fan wrote.
Some shifted the attention to the upcoming Game 3, turning Clark’s fiery moment into a prediction about what could be waiting for Indiana when the series heads back to Vegas.

Many were also entertained by Clark’s personality coming through, something that the guard has been known for throughout her career.
