The Indiana Fever are simply cruising through the WNBA right now, with last night’s win extending their winning streak to five. It marks their longest winning streak this season, surpassing their four-game streak from June 8 to June 16. Clark has been among the top two scorers in each of the five, with the Portland Fire game seeing her make WNBA history.

Clark closed the game with a triple-double: 26 points, 10 rebounds, and 10 assists, along with two steals and a block. According to Yahoo Sports’ post on X, that performance saw her become the fastest player in WNBA history to reach 1,500-plus points and 500-plus assists. The 24-year-old achieved the milestone in just 78 career games, breaking the previous record by a massive 19 games.
Sabrina Ionescu was the previous record holder, achieving it in her 97th game. This came in the Liberty vs Aces matchup on August 28, 2023. While Clark broke one of Ionescu’s records, the Fever guard equaled another milestone of the Liberty player.
With her triple-double, she now has four triple-doubles in her three-year WNBA career. This was her first of the 2026 season, after posting two as a rookie in 2024 (against the Liberty and the Sparks) and one (vs the Sky) during her injury-shortened 2025 campaign. Combined, that gives her the most triple-doubles by a guard in WNBA history, tying her with Ionescu.
Across all positions in the league, however, the pair sit third all-time, behind Jessica Shepard with five and Alyssa Thomas with 20.
After the game, Fever head coach Stephanie White lauded her player’s accomplishment in the press conference.
“I didn’t even recognize (she had a triple-double) until we got in the locker room. She can do all of those things,” said Fever head coach Stephanie White.
“I think the area that she’s continuing to get better in for us now is the defensive rebounding. She’s always scoring and finding her open teammates…It was a really impressive effort from her tonight. “
The Indiana Fever ultimately secured a comfortable 112-98 victory. However, they faced a difficult early stretch in the first quarter that threatened to let the Fire hang around.
Clark’s response was a critical, circus-shot three-pointer from deep right as the first quarter buzzer sounded. It was exactly the kind of shot that changes the entire energy of a game.
The Fire bounced back in the opening three minutes of the second quarter with a 15-6 score, only for the Fever to go 14-2 in the next three minutes. This sequence, which saw Clark score seven, saw them take a lead that they never surrendered.
With that victory, Indiana now sits at 19-10 and atop the WNBA Eastern Conference standings, and fourth overall in the league.
They have also now scored 100 or more points for the fifth consecutive game, extending their own WNBA record for the longest such streak in league history. That brings their total to 13 games with at least 100 points this season, a mark that continues to redefine what this offence is capable of.
Next up is the Minnesota Lynx. As the current table toppers of the Western Conference, they will be a considerably more formidable opponent than Portland.
But with the momentum the Fever have built over these five wins, they will be hoping to carry that energy into what will be one of the most compelling matchups on the WNBA calendar. And if things go to plan, perhaps another 100-point night while they are at it.
The title favourites conversation is already getting strong. They’ll definitely make a stronger case for it if they come away with a road victory against the Lynx.
