The offseason is for sidequests and Caitlin Clark has a lot of them. As she prepares for the World Cup Qualifiers for Team USA in March, Clark flew to Milan for a front-row seat at the Prada Fall 2026 fashion show. Clark made headlines after linking up with the most decorated free skier of all time, Eileen Gu, at the event. Now, the WNBA superstar has added another feather to her cap, earning a tribute from one of the greatest football players of all time, Tom Brady.

Fans know that Brady is a Caitlin Clark fan. Back in June last year, the former Quarterback put Clark on his mount Rushmore of athletes. Not just female athletes but athletes, period. He even praised Clark’s rivalry with Angel Reese. “Caitlin Clark and Angel Reese, this little thing they got going, I love that,” Brady said. Now, Brady has once again made a grand gesture towards Clark by grabbing one of the most revered collectibles relating to the 2-time WNBA all star.

Tom Brady has copped the 2024 PRIZM authentic rookie card of Clark, which has the WNBA star’s signature. The card also contains the word “GREATNESS” inscribed on it. “New addition to my collection, thanks @doni.nahmias.” The story was captioned, “@caitlinclark22 😤.” Caitlin Clark immediately responded by reposting the story.

Brady is an avid trading card collector. He has been collecting trading cards since he was 17. “Every free dollar I ever got from my paper route when I was making $3 a month went to collecting cards,” He once said.  Now, he has more than 10,000 cards and such an exhaustive collection, not having Caitlin Clark was next to impossible.

Why? Well, for one, she was the most-collected active basketball player of 2025. USA Today reported that 136,700 cards of Clark were graded. The Fever star also had 3 of the 10 highest-graded cards in 2025. Her 136,700 metric was more than the combined totals of LeBron James (59,000), Stephen Curry (33,000), and Anthony Edwards (30,000).

Among those, a Gold Vinyl 1-of-1 graded PSA 10 was recently sold for $366,000. Her highest sale to date was a Flawless Logowoman 1-of-1, which went for $660,000. That is the highest price ever paid for a women’s sports card. The one-of-one Rookie Royalty WNBA Flawless Platinum Logowoman card features Clark’s signature, inked in blue, and a photo of her mid-dribble, shin bloodied.

While Brady’s is not as rare as this, the fact that it’s in his collection adds value to that card. This move from Brady further encapsulates Clark’s immense popularity, something that is taking center stage in the ongoing CBA negotiations.

Player Agents Point Out Caitlin Clark Disservice From the WNBPA

The CBA situation is still in limbo. Player and the league continue to negotiate on the numbers. Amid the meetings and the controversy, the player agents have sent a statement to the WNBPA asking for “collective preference for transparency and coordinated communication.” Along with that statement, the agents have also pointed out a major sticking point regarding how the WNBPA handles collectible revenue.

“For one thing, several agents pointed out to The IX Sports that not all players are driving the revenue on things like trading cards to the same degree,” Howard Megdal wrote. “Clark and Angel Reese cards sell far more and for far more money than many others.”

According to an agent (via Megdal),  The WNBPA keeps a Group Licensing Agreement (GLM) as a mandatory prerequisite for joining the union upon entering the league. It means that the revenue from collectibles like trading cards is shared equally among the players.

WNBA players’ group licensing is managed through OneTeam Partners. It has been the exclusive commercial arm for the WNBPA since around 2021, handling collective rights for trading cards, video games, jerseys, and sponsorships. It’s important to note that this does not apply to the card Brady bought or Clark’s deal with Panini.

However, it does apply to the WNBA-wide trading card agreements. And players like Clark and Angel Reese earn a lot less than they bring in. So, they might opt out of such an agreement in the upcoming CBA agreement. According to IX Sports, it’s doubtful whether that can be enforced with future agreements, should a player choose to opt out.
