Caitlin Clark’s business venture with Nike might have hit a snag. The sportswear giant announced before the Super Bowl that it wouldn’t be playing any ads this year. This call has now probably ruined a perfect opportunity for Caitlin Clark to reach out to her fans with her product, according to analyst Rachel DeMita.

The announcement dampened the mood of Caitlin Clark’s fans, who were waiting for the debut of Caitlin Clark’s signature shoe in a Super Bowl commercial, but that was not the case.

“It also has a lot of us wondering if Caitlin Clark’s shoe is still going to be released this spring if there’s not a WNBA season or if the WNBA season is stalled. But the latest update that we have with Caitlin Clark and her Nike shoes is a brand new Nike Kobe 6 colorway. So as you can see its the blue and yellow colorway, and Caitlin Clark, I believe, posted some of these on her Instagram page,” said DeMita

Now, Caitlin’s tie-up with Nike goes back to 2024, when she signed a staggering $28 million deal with the brand, which was a benchmark amount for a women’s basketball player. This was the year when Clark’s signature shoes were supposed to hit the market and put the world on notice, but now there are doubts creeping into the minds of the people.

Clark’s logo will feature interlocking C’s and a smaller, hidden C. And it’s not just shoes where CC’s business is limited to. Clark’s logo collection will be spread across T-shirts, hoodies, shorts, and tracks for all ages, as well as premium pieces for adults. The merch is supposed to hit the stores on October 1st, but the navy-and-yellow logo shirt is expected to come out exactly a month earlier on September 1st. But with the CBA saga going on, there’s quite a murmur doing the rounds on whether the products will actually be available for purchase from the mentioned dates.

The Bella Twins Call Out Caitlin Clark and Sophie Cunningham

Caitlin Clark’s stardom has reached far and wide, and it is no surprise that everybody wants to have the legendary WNBA player involved. Last year, WWE Diva Bianca Belair had hinted about a possible Caitlin Clark surprise entry in the Royal Rumble, as it was held in Indianapolis.

This time around, the challenge is more direct and comes from one half of the Bella Twins, Nikki Bella herself.

WWE has always been a spectacle that has thrived off this cross-sports, entertainment moments. The legendary Shaquille O’Neal was the last basketball player who took part in Wrestlemania 32 in 2016 as he entered Andre the Giant Memorial Battle Royal, squaring up to the Big Show. Naturally, Caitlin would be an amazing addition to that list.

“I mean, that would actually be really good,” seconded Brie Bella, who feels potential in a Bella vs Cunningham/Clark feud.

Maybe the WWE producers would pay heed to the Bella sisters and book them a slot. Would you be interested in Caitlin Calrk taking on the Bella sisters alongside Angel Reese?
