The star guard has been working hard to get back in shape. USA Basketball invited her to their December training camp, where she showed that she was fully healthy. She hasn’t played in the WNBA since July. It takes time to get back on the court after being gone for so long, but Clark impressed everyone who saw him. Sue Bird, the managing director of USA Basketball, couldn’t hide her excitement. She said, “I thought she looked great, right? I mean, here’s a player that didn’t get to play this summer. All in, she didn’t get to play a lot of basketball, really, in the last year-plus. So for this to be the first day back, she looked great.”.

Clark has been using social media to keep fans up to date on her training. She recently posted a video of herself throwing a football with Fever player development coach Rob Dozier. This shows that she’s back in training mode and getting her rhythm back. Every update makes one thing clear: she wants to compete again.

There is no need to look at the opponents or the strength of the competition for the Fever’s 2026 schedule. Every game is a big deal now that Clark is back in uniform. That’s the kind of effect she has on the league.
