We all know LeBron James is basically one of those die-hard fans who followed Caitlin Clark from Iowa to Indiana, cheering for her like she’s family. Arguably the greatest ever to grace this sport, he never missed a moment to hype her up. From posting photos to dropping hot takes, he rode through her 2024 Big Dance run like a proud uncle. And now, on the occasion of Thanksgiving, it was Clark’s turn to send some love his way.

In a post on his Instagram page, the 4x NBA champion shared a video showcasing his ridiculous passing and shooting range, along with a series of photos from the big Battle of LA win. And before the comments could even settle, Caitlin Clark slid in with a one-word reaction. “King,” she said.

The Lakers comfortably handled the Clippers 135-118, thanks to Luka Doncic dropping 43 points with 9 rebounds and Austin Reaves adding 31 and 9 of his own. After missing the first 14 games of the season with sciatica — a condition that causes sharp pain along the sciatic nerve — James had a big game as well, and this was only his third outing since returning from the injury.

“LeBron is the GOAT to me,” is how Caitlin Clark once described the Lakers superstar. And in his 23rd season, he’s still proving why. James was a difference-maker again, dropping 25 points, 6 assists, and 6 rebounds in the win over the Clippers, helping push the Lakers to a strong 13-4 start to the season.

The Indiana Fever guard has been keeping herself busy this offseason as she continues to recover from the groin injury she suffered back in July. Recently, she even teed it up at the Annika Pro-Am powered by Gainbridge, with her friends Lexie Hull and Sophie Cunningham joining her as guest caddies.

She will once again skip Unrivaled, despite many fans believing she’d use the league to get some much-needed match practice before the W season begins (hopefully) in May. After all, she played only 13 games in her sophomore WNBA season, so the expectation was that she’d want as much court time as possible. But for now, her focus remains on recovery and getting fully fit.

But Clark did manage to make one of her dreams come true.

Caitlin Clark Earns Her First National Team Call-Up

Last year, when Caitlin Clark didn’t get the call to be part of the Olympics roster, she didn’t let it bring her down. “Honestly, (there’s) no disappointment,” Clark said. “I think it gives me something to work for. It’s a dream. Hopefully, one day I can be there. I think it’s just a little more motivation. You remember that.”

Well, she’s already checked off one part of that dream. USA Basketball will host its senior national team camp from Dec. 12–14 under new head coach Kara Lawson, and Caitlin Clark is one of the headline names making her debut on the training camp roster. She was originally set to join Team USA back in April, but the camp fell on the same weekend as the Women’s NCAA Final Four, and she wasn’t able to take part in it as a result.

Team USA has already secured its spot in the World Cup thanks to its 2025 Women’s AmeriCup title, but the squad will still take part in a qualifying tournament in Puerto Rico next March — and there’s a real chance we could see Caitlin Clark suit up there.

LeBron James is back from injury and already hooping like himself again. Now, fans can’t wait to see Clark do the same!
