However, despite so much secrecy around the drop and how it may look, a Caitlin Clark superfan has solved the mystery. In a post on X, Macin (@MacinHarvey) shared their recently acquired ‘Caitlin Clark Stanley.’ The fan made a post on X with a few pictures of the tumbler along with the caption, “Caitlin Clark Stanley has been acquired.”

Sporting a matte black exterior, the signature tumbler comes with a blue lid and a custom box with Clark’s signature on it. The cup also has glossy black stripes running down its sides, reminiscent of the stripes on a basketball, while the Stanley Cup logo is stamped on in purple and light blue.

X user Macin, who seems to have been following Caitlin Clark from her Iowa Hawkeyes days, broke the news and acquired the latest CC merch even before it was officially launched. But, the way her merch flies off the shelves minutes after lunch, maybe this is the only way to get your hands on them. Jokes aside, this revelation from the Clark’s superfan unsurprisingly went viral and led to some interesting reactions on X.

Fans react to Caitlin Clark’s new merchandise line

“Wait is it out already?” A fan reacted to the post, giving voice to many others’ questions. According to all the communication about the release, the merch was supposed to be out on September 3rd. However, to many’s surprise, Caitlin Clark superfan, Macin, was able to grab them from the West Des Moines outlet of Dick’s Sporting Goods. Later on, in the comments section, it was revealed that the Cedar Rapids store also had them out for sale.

While many comments were saying they wished they could but them too, a certain request came from especially far away. “Wish we could purchase them in the UK.” A fan commented, showcasing exactly how massive Caitlin Clark’s reach is. Not only in the USA, but she is even influencing people far away in the UK, a country where basketball isn’t even a top-5 sport in terms of engagement. This request showcases exactly how Caitlin Clark’s impact goes beyond the borders and maybe even beyond basketball.

Going beyond the reactions of shock and want, a fan had a witty response to the colorway used in the merchandise. They replied, “I love the color… but is Stanley future-proofing against a move to the Valks? Or are those their colors?” The merchandise has a color scheme of violet on black, i.e., the color of the Golden State Valkyries. In his humorous reply, the fan pointed this out and asked if Stanley is preparing themselves in case Caitlin Clark ever moves to the Valks. However, they clarified that violet is actually Caitlin Clark’s favorite color.

Another fan had an interesting observation. They pointed out that the cup looked eerily similar to Paige Bueckers’ shoes’. They commented, “It looks like PB5 shoe scheme colors.” The colors used to brand Caitlin Clark’s name do indeed look like the colorway used for Paige Bueckers’ logo on her Nike G.T. Hustle 3. However, the black background of the drinkware makes them look very different from each other.

A fan had an extremely sarcastic comment. They wrote, “Does it only work 45% of the time?” A reference, clearly to Caitlin Clark’s catch-and-shoot numbers. As per ESPN analytics, she made 45% of her catch-and-shoot opportunities in her rookie season.

With the unexpected release of her Stanley merchandise, fans have gotten a taste of how the 40 OZ version of her tumbler looks. With the entire collection set to drop tomorrow, it will be interesting to see how the rest of the lineup looks. Will they all follow the same template, or will there be another exciting surprise for all the CC fans?
