Iowa’s current roster just received a gift that only Caitlin Clark could give. After winning $90,000 from a MrBeast challenge and donating it to her foundation, it seems that Clark was not done giving things away. She surprised her alma mater, the Iowa Hawkeyes, by gifting her signature Nike Caitlin 1 sneakers to the entire current Hawkeyes roster.

The custom shoes were designed in an exclusively black and gold Iowa colorway, with the university’s Tigerhawk logo prominently displayed on the tongue. The custom pair pays direct tribute to Iowa’s iconic team colors, blending her personal Nike line with Hawkeye pride.
A video posted by Iowa Women’s Basketball shows the looks of excitement on the players’ faces as they entered the locker room to find the sneakers and proceeded to unbox them. “Another special delivery from CC ahead of Game 1,” read the caption of the post by Iowa women’s basketball on X.
The Hawkeyes made good on the hype, rolling to a season-opening victory to kick off their campaign. Meanwhile, Clark’s legacy at Iowa is one for the record books. Amassing an unprecedented 3,951 points, she shattered the NCAA Division I all-time scoring record while completely transforming the Hawkeyes program. A three-time first-team All-American, Clark didn’t just fill up the stat sheet; she willed Iowa to back-to-back national championship games and captivated the entire basketball world with a sign of what was to come in the coming years.
Clark’s gift shows she is still heavily invested in the very program she built into a powerhouse. This is the second time in a week that Clark has surprised a team with her special gesture, highlighting once again why she remains a fan favorite. A local high school team experienced Clark’s generosity on Oct. 27 when the Fever guard gifted the girls’ basketball team at Zionsville Community High School, just 22 miles outside of Indianapolis, with fresh pairs of her signature Nike Caitlin 1 sneakers.
“Really cool night for Zionsville Girls’ Basketball. Thank YOU, Nike and Caitlin Clark!” the team later posted on X.
And Clark giving away her signature shoes is nothing new. After Indiana exited the postseason, Clark made an appearance on ESPN’s College GameDay. Before the Hawkeyes kicked off against Ohio State, Clark played the ultimate hype woman, launching her signature Nike Caitlin 1s into a sea of roaring supporters. To top it off, she personally autographed the sneakers, making them incredibly valuable for the lucky fans who came down with the catch.
Nike’s release of the Indiana Fever guard’s debut signature sneaker on Oct. 1 was met with immediate demand, with reports indicating the inventory sold out within a matter of hours. Even a week before their official release, Clark surprised a pair of young fans by gifting them her game-worn sneakers.
In September, Clark revealed the personal reason behind gifting her shoes to young and upcoming players and fans.
“I hope when people put the shoe on, they can feel a part of me,” Clark said, per The Associated Press. “I hope more than anything it gives people confidence that they can dream to achieve whatever they want, and they feel like they can be me in the shoe.”
Besides giving her shoes away, it seems that Clark is making the most of the time she has available this offseason. Beyond her brilliance on the court, Clark is now sharing her mindset through a new 32-page book illustrated by Adri Predoi.
First revealed in May, the project dives deep into the pillars of teamwork, resilience, and the unbreakable bonds of family, friends, and teammates striving toward a shared goal. For fans eager to bring those lessons home, Clark recently announced that pre-orders are officially open via Random House. The book is titled ‘EXTRAordinary! A Little EXTRA to Reach BIG Dreams.’
It’s no secret that the ‘Caitlin Clark effect’ is ever-present, on and off the court. It is perhaps gestures like these that make Clark a favorite among the fans. Clark is now set to make a guest appearance on “Good Morning America” this Tuesday, and just three nights later, fans can catch her chatting with Jimmy Fallon on “The Tonight Show” as she promotes her children’s book.
