It’s tough,Stephanie White said after the Indiana Fever’s loss to the Atlanta Dream. The head coach of the Fever has aspirations of winning the 2025 WNBA Championship, and her locker room has ensured to fulfill the promise so far. With an exceptional preseason run and an extraordinary season opener, 93-58 against the Chicago Sky, the Fever was gradually inching closer to the title until they faced the Dream in the second regular-season matchup. Having suffered a brutally close 90-91 defeat at the behest of their opponents, impressing White indeed became a rather tough task for Caitlin Clark & Co. this time.

HC Stephanie White is known to draw attention to details. As someone who values precision and perfection on the court, White has not been too happy with the team’s performance. Stating troubles since the match began, she remarked how Fever dug its own grave by not handling possession of the ball. Well, she also pointed out how the team failed to handle the physicality of the opponents. And though this is not an aggressive sport per se, other teams will use their athleticism and physicality, like shoving, tapping, and holding the players, as long as it is allowed to do so

“Teams are going to be physical. They’re going to push us, they’re going to shove us, they’re going to hold us. They’re going to do whatever they’re allowed to get away with. And we have to figure out how to use that physicality against them,White said, knowing that other teams will use the tactic against them in the upcoming matches. While Clark, Aliyah Boston, and Kelsey Mitchell placed their best foot forward, the team failed to guard the perimeter efficiently.

While Lexi Hull and Natasha Howard averaged 5 points and 6 points, respectively, the opponents blocked Howard’s shot during the crucial moments of the match and gained an upper hand. Meanwhile, Caitlin Clark scored a total of 27 points, 11 assists, and 5 rebounds for the roster, as Mitchell and Boston scored 24 points each.

Besides, a recent video surfaced online, where Boston can be seen engaging in a candid interview with ESPN broadcaster Holly Rowe. The interview was conducted during the ensuing match between Fever and Dream, and stars Boston, who can be seen walking away towards the arena. But what comes next has fans and followers confused and in stitches.
