Cameron Brink brought the heat to the frozen Canada tonight. The Los Angeles Sparks rookie not only turned the tides in LA’s favor when they really needed it but also became the leader when the vets were benched. The pace of tonight’s game was on such an acceleration that it even made Diggins-Smith sweat. The Seattle legend who has just returned from her maternity leave to play for the team commented on the game saying that it was definitely a high-intensity game. Especially because of the young players in the Sparks who increased the pace and made long runs on the floor.
Certainly, it was a sneak into the past as the college stars took the fans back to the competitiveness of the NCAA. It will be interesting to see how these young ladies continue to translate their energy for the professional league as well.
