What can’t Angel Reese do? She is a beast on the court, averaging 14.7 points, 12.6 rebounds, 3.7 assists, and 1.5 steals per game for the Chicago Sky in 2025. Off the court, she is the most followed WNBA athlete on Instagram. To top things off, she has a solid fashion career, recently becoming the first athlete to walk the Victoria’s Secret runway. “It’s all about confidence!” she said. “I’ve been training for both basketball and the fashion show these last couple of weeks … ” That multitalented nature has now taken the basketball star to the movie screens with some of the most talented actors.

The Chicago Sky star has a brief appearance in Netflix’s latest “A House of Dynamite”, directed by Oscar-winning Kathryn Bigelow. The movie features Idris Elba. “He is so sweet. He is so nice. We are gonna do some stuff with Reebok with him,” Reese said regarding Elba. The movie also features Rebecca Ferguson, Anthony Ramos, Greta Lee, Gabriel Basso, and Willa Fitzgerald.

Reese also starred on the red carpet at the movie’s premiere in late September. According to the Hollywood Reporter, Reese makes her appearance in the film’s climactic final chapter. Elba plays the fictional President of the United States, who’s informed at the White House that one of his pressing duties includes “the Angel Reese situation.”

He soon heads to Liberty Arena, where he sinks a few shots and reflects on how sports have shaped his life. But before the moment lasts, he’s abruptly pulled away, torn from Reese and the others, as a looming catastrophe demands his attention. As the movie ranks numbers on Netflix, Reese posted a short clip that was a part of the scene featuring her, and the fans immediately went gaga.

Fans Erupt After Angel Reese Announces Movie Debut

“It’s Angel’s world and we’re just living in it.” Wrote a fan. It seems that way, doesn’t it? She is visible almost everywhere on the biggest stage of fashion, with the biggest movie stars, and of course, dominating the best WNBA players in the world. We can only speculate what she will do next. But all this would not be possible without her team working hard behind the scenes.

“Her agent not playing!” exclaimed another fan. Angel Reese has two agents, Jeanine Ogbonnaya of The Clearview Group and Gina Paradiso, who handles her basketball-related deals. Since this is an off-court deal, it was probably Jeanine who managed to secure it for Reese. “I think my goal is to build a brand for her that can withstand well past her playing days. If I have done that, my job is done right like that.” Jeanine has said

This movie appearance was certainly a step towards that. However, it was still just a few seconds, and her fans went and watched the entire movie (and probably left a good review). “Watching a full movie for a 30-second cameo, call that the Angel Reese Effect.” Announced a fan. As you can probably notice, it’s a clever reference to the Caitlin Clark effect, Reese’s premier rival, who has captured the attention of the basketball world very much like Reese. Clark has generated millions of dollars and a massive fan following.

However, Reese is not far behind with her modeling deals and this movie appearance. “Angel is just destined to be a star because wow, Netflix is huge, I hope we see her in more roles,” wrote a fan. Reese is planning to improve her acting repertoire, as she explained how her experience working on this movie was.

“My little part, acting part in there was really cool. I really do want to get into acting during my career, [and] then also after my career. But that experience was really fun,” Reese said. Reese was never about just basketball. Even when critics side-eyed her dual career as a basketball player and fashion icon, she committed to both. So far, she has managed it smoothly while succeeding in both. Maybe she can fit acting somewhere, too.
