Two of the most popular and famed athletes in the NCAA are now taking their rivalry to a different platform. Angel Reese and Caitlin Clark had massive impacts when it came to taking the popularity of college basketball to new heights. Now, as both of them carry their respective talents to their respective franchises, the question remains whether they can evoke the same reception.

As it turns out, the Mystics and the Aces both swapped their home venues for their matchups with Indiana to a bigger arena. Now, a similar step may be taken by the Chi-town.

Chicago is the new home this year for two of the most celebrated athletes Angel Reese and Kamilla Cardoso. Both these rivals turned teammates will exhibit their skills in the Sky colors. Meanwhile, in another headlining development, the face-off between Caitlin Clark and Angel Reese this year is compelling a change in venue as per an online fans petition. The petition on Change.org reads, “The United Center has more than double the capacity of the Sky’s own Wintrust Arena.”

The Indiana Fever is set to clash with the Chicago Sky on June 23 this year. Seemingly, the 10,000-capacity of the Wintrust Arena is not deemed enough to contain the thrill of this encounter. At the same time, the United Center can host approximately 20,917 people together. This demand has come forth just days after the Las Vegas Aces moved their home game against the Fever from Michelob Ultra Arena to the larger T-Mobile Arena.

However, this is not the only outcome coming out before this monumental fixture.

Angel Reese and Caitlin Clark push ticket prices through the roof

It seems that the excitement to witness both these players having a go at each other knows no bounds. This became evident with the latest revelation of ticket prices. The lowest anyone has to pay to enter the Wintrust Arena to catch Reese and Clark in action is $325. Anyhow, if someone wishes to get a glimpse from the courtside, these prices take a surge to a whopping $1,700. These numbers are as per Ticketmaster.

Whether or not this petition will bring fruitful results or not is worth a discussion. The interesting thing here is the kind of hype that is being generated by both these generational talents. Likely, more enthralling trends are expected in the league in the near future.
