Less than 24 hours ago, Unrivaled announced LA Sparks rookie Rickea Jackson as the 18th player in the league. A few minutes ago, they teased another signing with their usual hints. And inside half an hour after their previous tweet, they announced the next player. DiJonai Carrington, who is enjoying a much-improved season, will be part of Breanna Stewart and Napheesa Collier’s league.

She is the latest addition to the new women’s 3×3 basketball league founded by the two WNBA stars. “DIJONAI CARRINGTON IS UNRIVALED👑 19/30✅ WHO’S NEXT⬇️.” The hint used for the Connecticut guard was probably too easy. It stated a password that was hidden to unlock the phone. Recently in the pre-game video shared by the Suns,  #21 was seen stating, “My lock screen is this. It’s a picture of me and NaLyssa. I mean, what else do you wanna see?

She and her partner NaLyssa Smith play for different teams in the W, and DiJonai Carrington signed a 3-year contract of $193,370 as a rookie. Currently, she is earning $78,469 as per Sportrac and is valued at $1 Million in net worth by multiple reports. Unrivaled also ensures equity in the league to its inaugural participants that the players can profit from in the years to come if all sails well. This is just another feather in the cap of the Connecticut Sun star, who is having a career year.

She is averaging career highs in points (12.9), rebounds (4.8), assists (1.5), steals (1.5), and blocks (0.4). This has more to do with her role changing as she has started every game so far this season. In her previous 3 seasons in the league, she had 3 starts combined. So we can all see how she has raised her game and this, in turn, has seen more endorsement opportunities.

DiJonai Carrington and her endorsement deals

The 26-year-old was part of the campaign for Kim Kardashian’s company at the beginning of the WNBA season. She featured alongside other WNBA stars Kelsey Plum, Skylar Diggins-Smith, Cameron Brink, and retired WNBA player Candace Parker. Promoting the shapewear brand, the women spoke about what it’s like being on the court and what they hope to accomplish with their actions.

When you’re on the court, nothing else matters,” DiJonai Carrington added. This was not her only celebrity endorsement deal. Back in January 2022, the Baylor Bears graduate was part of the endorsement deal with Savage X Fenty. The brand was previously led by Rihanna, and Carrington spoke about it with the New York Times.

She revealed her game-day beauty routine. “I feel like I play better. I don’t know if I do or I don’t, but I just feel like I do,” Carrington said. “And I never have wanted to compromise one thing or another, whether that’s being a hooper and being a dog on the court and still being able to look a certain way.

She has certainly not compromised on her performances. Currently in the top 10 list of players for Steals in the W, and she will join her Sun teammate Marina Mabrey, was announced as the 13th player in the league, two weeks ago. With 11 spots remaining and two of them will go to rookies, who do you think will be the next player to join Unrivaled?

“Stay tuned for more such updates and join us for the exciting second episode of the “Dual Threat Show” as our host BG12 sits down with Georgia Bulldogs star and Mountain West All-Freshman Team Selection, Asia Avinger.”
