“Everybody’s getting better, except the officials.” Superstars are meant to have a different whistle, but not Caitlin Clark! The Indiana Fever point guard had every WNBA team stumped from day 1. No one has been able to figure out how to stop her from catching rhythm. After all, how do you guard a six-foot-tall guard who can facilitate, control the tempo of the game, and shoot from just about anywhere on the floor? Their answer, however, was to be physical.
Defenders have been playing rough and tough with CC since the beginning of her professional career, because frankly, it works. Clark hasn’t been able to keep it together under great physical pressure so far, and to be fair, most teams would take whatever advantage they can against the Indiana Fever. When the refs weren’t watching, they’d muddy up the defense ever so slightly.
However, it looks to be getting way out of hand! In a clip uploaded by @CClark Report on X, ESPN broadcaster Rebecca Lobo was heard discussing and replaying a possession in which CC kept getting fouled. “There’s a grab, there’s a hold, there’s another grab. All of those are fouls!” The commentator said, referring to the defense that JJ Quinerly and Luisa Geiselsoder were playing on the guard.

Let’s be honest, this isn’t the worst Caitlin Clark has seen. The Jacy Sheldon, Marina Mabrey incident earlier this season is testament to how tough the Fever star truly is. However, for this to happen during Paige Bueckers and Caitlin Clark’s first professional matchup? It ruins the flow and the fairness of the game. Dallas is clearly desperate to stop CC from getting a leg up over their backcourt, but is it really working?
Going into half-time, it’s been a relatively even matchup in terms of scoring, with both Paige Bueckers and Caitlin Clark putting up about 10 points. Still, Caitlin Clark’s experience is giving her and the Indiana Fever a clear edge over the Wings. The Fever guard just reached an impressive milestone during this game. Let’s find out exactly what that was!

Caitlin Clark’s breathtaking highlight draws attention to playmaking achievement
Caitlin Clark getting the last laugh over JJ Quinerly was expected. The clip of the Dallas Wings guard playing some aggressive, and slightly illegal, defense on CC has made the rounds on social media, but she got her dues soon after. With about 7 minutes left in the second quarter, the five-foot-eight guard was downhill, trying to make a layup on Clark. But CC really said ‘not in my house,’ and swatted the attempt away with her right hand.
What’s your perspective on:
Is Caitlin Clark being unfairly targeted, or is this just part of the game?

The play didn’t stop there, however. Clark got the ball back and threw a super-accurate full-court pass to Sophie Cunningham to lodge another assist in the books! We all know just how well Caitlin Clark can get her teammates involved, and thread the needle if necessary. Her unique talents, and extraordinary court vision has led to an amazing milestone.

According to PolymarketHoops on X, “Caitlin Clark is the fastest guard in WNBA history to reach 100 AST in a season.” While other players are focused on highlights and isolation ball, the Indiana Fever guard has been diligent with her duties as a point guard. She always makes the right play, and gets the ball moving in transition, which has led to many records being broken quite early in her career.
