WNBA Live gives fans a unique opportunity to interact with the league’s stars, and for one family who spent $2700, Caitlin Clark made the experience worth every dollar. The fan noted that other players showed up late and left quickly after the family waited in line for hours, with the children disappointed and in tears. But the Indiana Fever guard showed up and made it worth their while.

“We attended WNBA Live and waited in line over two hours to meet a couple of the top-name athletes. They showed up 40 minutes late, signed autographs for 10 minutes, and left. This happened several times throughout the weekend. My children were in tears after waiting for hours only to be turned away,” the fan wrote in a comment on YouTube while sharing their experience.
“To be fair, there were a few players who showed up on time to everything. Caitlin Clark, in particular, was punctual for every obligation she had. She gave away her shoes, signed autographs, hugged fans, and competed hard in the All-Star Game where we bought six tickets at over $450 each, more than $2,700 for our family to be there. She clearly understands that fans can make or break a career, and she came across as a genuinely good person. I was deeply disappointed in several of the other players,” they added.
WNBA Live is designed as an “interactive event” where fans can meet their favorite players through autograph sessions, brand activations, youth clinics, and other experiences during All-Star Weekend. For many, this is a once-in-a-lifetime experience. Clark’s presence made the otherwise disappointing experience a pleasant memory.
Despite other players reportedly not showing up as promised, Clark was there for the fans. The Fever guard has one of the biggest fan followings in the WNBA. Her popularity has transformed the league, and many refer to it as the “Caitlin Clark Effect.” And that impact was on full display during the All-Star Weekend, where the cheapest ticket climbed to as much as $393. But what has made her a fan favorite is that she has never taken that support for granted.
“Just seeing the amount of people and young girls and boys that stand there and scream for me to sign their stuff. I don’t take that for granted,” Caitlin Clark said back in 2025. “That’s so cool. I would be lying to you if I thought that was normal and everybody gets to do that. They don’t. I’m glad I can be a role model for them.”
“At the end of the day, say I scored zero points. I’m sure they would still be screaming my name and wanting my autograph. I think that really puts into perspective the impact. There’s a lot more bigger things in life than basketball,” she added.
So when the All-Star game tipped off, Caitlin Clark made sure to give 19,783 fans at Chicago’s United Center a show. Playing for Team Spoon, she finished the game with 17 points and five assists while knocking down several of her trademark logo bombs as she led her team to a 129-122 victory over Team Coop.
