The moment Dallas Wings fans have been waiting for has finally arrived. When rookie sensation Paige Bueckers went down with an injury in an already tough season, it felt like the Wings’ hopes had dimmed. Still, Bueckers vowed to return as soon as possible, and fans held onto that promise, praying for her speedy recovery.

Now, their prayers have been rewarded. Before the Wings’ home game against the Mystics, eyewitness footage captured Bueckers warming up with shooting drills. Reports suggest she will be expected to suit up and be available for tonight’s game. There is also a positive update on her teammate Myisha Hines-Allen’s injury.

The unfortunate injury to Paige Bueckers happened during their away game against Liberty. In the third quarter, the rookie sensation felt a pull in her back and subbed out of the game. She went to the locker room for treatment and returned to the court in the fourth quarter, but could not save her team from an 85-76 loss in New York.

Following the game, Bueckers revealed the cause of her injury. “I just got it checked out, and I think it’s just a pulled muscle. I felt a strain, felt it tighten, so I’m just going to get it worked out, take some medicine, and go from there,” the Wings guard revealed during the post-game conference.

Showing true grit for the game, Bueckers wanted to recover as soon as possible for her team. “I’m hoping it won’t take me out,” she said. “I’ll get some treatment, get some rest, take some medicine. So I’m hoping it doesn’t take me out.” However, the Dallas Wings management took precaution and had her sit out for the next game. Now the wonder rookie is looking in good shape and can return to the game, if management allows. There is also encouraging news regarding teammate Myisha Hines-Allen’s injury.
