“I try to make sure I’m as visible as I can be and touch as many young girls as I can,” Kelsey Plum had stated. A well-known figure in women’s basketball since she set the college career scoring record—later broken by Caitlin Clark—Plum has remained dedicated to growing the sport and making it more accessible to young girls. This passion is evident in her words. Just days after a significant acquisition, Plum is now focused on giving back to the community through a generous act of support.

In a touching gesture, the children presented her with a basketball signed by them, and Plum stood proudly on a basketball marked with “Plum’s Place.” The Aces star beamed as she posed for photos, her smile reflecting the joy of connecting with the next generation of athletes. The caption accompanying the Clark County post celebrated Plum for her impressive basketball achievements and her unwavering commitment to supporting the shelter and empowering young children.

“Thanks to Kelsey, #ClarkCounty #Family Services kids in the care of Child Haven now have a safe and beautiful space to grow, dream and play the sport she loves. She made a $16,000 donation that helped restore the Child Haven campus outdoor basketball court. It’s now called “Plum’s Place!,” mentioned the post caption.

Plum has long spoken about the lack of representation for women in sports, and it’s clear that she’s determined to help close that gap and make a difference wherever she can. Moreover, in a special tribute to her impactful visit, the administration declared November 24, 2024, as ‘Kelsey Plum Day’ in both Las Vegas and Clark County.

However, just a couple of days before making this donation, she made a major move off the court, securing a big project and launching her very own signature line of cigars.

The 30-year-old’s Instagram stories were filled with celebrations alongside her friends, including Kayla Nicole, as she marked the exciting launch of her own c-gar line in collaboration with Kingmakers. The cigars, branded with her signature “KP,” feature a Connecticut shade-grown wrapper filled with premium Nicaraguan tob-ccos from Estelí. Available in vanilla and buttery toasted nut flavors, they finish with a bold peppercorn note.

This event took place at the stunning 1,678-room Las Vegas Hilton, marking another exciting milestone in her expanding business portfolio. This accomplishment is even more significant, considering the personal journey Plum went through earlier this year, including her divorce from her husband. It’s a testament to her resilience and determination as she continues to rise both professionally and personally while making contributions wherever possible.
