A’ja Wilson is in love-love! For years, the Las Vegas Aces star has kept her personal life out of the spotlight, known chiefly as a fierce competitor and leader her team can always rely on. But off the court, Wilson has a softer side, one that only comes out around her boyfriend, Bam Adebayo. While their personal bond isn’t breaking news anymore, one can’t help but not talk about that heartwarming moment when the NBA star handed his better half her fourth MVP title!

In a recent appearance on The Jennifer Hudson Show, A’ja Wilson finally gave fans a rare glimpse into her relationship with the Miami Heat star. Picking one of the many picturesque moments they’ve had, Hudson brought up the South Carolina alum’s heartfelt Hall of Fame speech, in which she lovingly mentioned her man, and asked what it meant to have him as a support system. “It’s amazing. Bam, he’s a gem. He’s a gem. He’s a star, obviously, in his own world, but when it comes to us, he’s always showing up,” she said.
A’ja Wilson couldn’t help but blush while opening up. While hints of their relationship were evident, with them being spotted together before the 2024 Olympics or on a dinner date in Beverly Hills in January, it wasn’t fully confirmed until February when Wilson opened up about her Valentine’s Day plans.

“His unwavering support, I mean, he was flying in and out of town. And he always, constantly shows up for me. And I’m just grateful to have a partner, that is just along with the ride, like just there through the times where I can’t be A’ja Wilson all the time. He picks me up. And so, I’m always grateful for his support. It’s gentle. It’s kind, and I love that he allows me to just kind of let my guard down because I feel like I have to be on so much. But Bam allows me just to be the kid, the crazy, goofy girl that I am. And I’m appreciative of him,” the Aces veteran concluded.
Bam still can’t fight us all but since he’s A’ja’s safe space, I’ll allow it I suppose 😒😂 pic.twitter.com/Z6ftwV4hFR

With A’ja Wilson and Bam Adebayo having careers in the same field, both of them are each other’s biggest supporters. Just last September, the WNBA ace was front and center when Adebayo received the key to Miami-Dade County after clinching Gold for Team USA.
On the other hand, he returns the love in his own subtle way. When Wilson made history as the first WNBA player to score 1,000 points in a single season, the Heat forward posted on X, “Hope everybody finds A’thousand reasons to smile on this lovely Sunday,” playfully using an apostrophe like the one in Wilson’s name.
However, the lovebirds, while open about being in a relationship, keep their romantic lives a secret, as Wilson had kept herself away from social media, labeling it “toxic.”

A’ja Wilson and Bam Adebayo shared a heartfelt moment after the Aces’ 2025 WNBA title win
The Las Vegas Aces secured their third championship title after a dominating victory over the Phoenix Mercury not too long ago. And if we had to give a single person credit, it undoubtedly would be A’ja Wilson. She averaged a jaw-dropping 23.4 points, 10.2 rebounds, 3.1 assists, and 1.6 steals per game, while also leading the team in points, rebounds, steals, and blocks made on average per game.
But beyond the stats or even Wilson’s performance, what left fans in awe was the moment she shared with her boyfriend, Adebayo, during their celebrations. As everyone cheered, the 4x MVP shared a heartfelt moment, with tears in her eyes, when she turned to hug him. That sure was a tight-tight hug! And with either of them refusing to leave each other, she said to the Heat star, “Thank you for believing in me, baby!”
While it was a rare sight to witness, it will be the one that everyone remembers when they got to see not just a WNBA champion, but the woman behind years of sacrifice. Besides the titles, it’s clear that her most significant win might just be finding someone whom she can call her “safe place”.
