LeBron James never misses out when it comes to showing appreciation to the WNBA basketball players. He has actively praised and encouraged Las Vegas Aces power forward A’ja Wilson on Twitter. However, this time around, he was seen commending another WNBA star. New York Liberty’s dynamic shooting guard Marine Johannes.

The basketball world couldn’t take their eyes off from the much-awaited Game-1 of WNBA finals. Among those in attendance, was the four-time NBA champion LeBron James. In the thrilling game, Liberty lost to Aces with the scores 99-82. Nonetheless, Liberty’s Wizard Marine Johannes stole the show.

Her impressive performance caught the eye of LeBron James, as he couldn’t help but show his excitement on Twitter. The Lakers power forward shared a post captioning, She got a CANNON!!!! The 1 leg going left got me out my seat!!”

Marine displayed a tremendous exhibition of her skills, with a stunning 4-7 from the arc to finish with 14 points.

LeBron has been very vocal when it comes to showering love and admiration for his younger sis A’ja Wilson on social media. It is evident that he was present courtside to support the Aces. However, he was left completely overwhelmed by Johannes crazy 3 off one leg. She set the Michelob Ultra Arena on fire with her amazing footwork and exceptional shooting.

With an incredible victory over the New York Liberty in Game-1 of the finals, the Las Vegas Aces didn’t disappoint their fans.

Can the Liberty make a comeback in Game-2?

After a dull start, the defending champions crawled their way back into the game. Jackie Young and Kelsey Plum led the charge scoring 26 points each. Chelsea Gray was also crucial in the middle providing 9 assists. However, it would be foolish to rule the Liberty out of the game. As in most of her games, Breanna Stewart was Liberty’s top-scorer with 21 points, followed by Marine Johannes with 14. During half-time Liberty were leading Aces. At this point, the scoreboard read 49-46. Even then, Aces overcame the deficit with a 9-0 run.

Game-1 of the WNBA lived up to its hype and expectations. It has set the tone for the following games to come, and fans are getting their money’s worth. It will be interesting to see the strategy of the Liberty to overcome their loss.
