The A’ja Wilson experience

A’ja Wilson recently talked about her book on Good Morning America alongside Robin Roberts. However, the interview featured another inspiring segment in which the WNBA Finals MVP shared some valuable lessons from her experiences. Wilson schools haters and advises never to listen to them. Further, she also wants her fans to remember that if they can see anyone, they can be anyone.

The most striking message that A’ja delivered was what should one do when they are feeling depressed. The question asked was “Sometimes it’s okay to?” To which she replied, “Sometimes it’s okay to have bad days and just stay in bed.” Following this, the power forward further suggests to her followers not to worry about the past or the future and always try and remain in the present.

Wilson’s thoughts on healing

Having a chat about the book, A’ja had some more words of wisdom that were truly commendable. She opened up about her dyslexia and said, “Run your race at your own pace. We all come from different paths of life. There are different ways in which we are healing and growing together, and that’s okay. It doesn’t mean something is wrong with you. It means you’re learning late. We always talk about the trauma, but we never talk about the other side. The healing, taking care of ourselves. I just wanted to make sure I could do that”

Wilson’s authorial debut is getting a very good reception after its release on Feb 6. It is to no one’s surprise that Wilson was able to garner such love and support with a pen in hand this time around. It is only a matter of time before we witness the craze and admiration of her latest venture reach sky-high
