‘The Caitlin Clark effect’ is in full swing as she starts her second season in the league with a bang. Scoring a triple-double in the season opener against Angel Reese and the Chicago Sky in a lopsided game that was no short of entertaining. Clark and her partner in crime, Aliyah Boston, have been putting up big performances through the first two games of the season. However, game 2 of the season did not go according to plan for the Indiana Fever.

When Fever matched up against the Atlanta Dream for the first time in the regular season after defeating them earlier in the preseason game, it was the Dream who had the upper hand this time around. Double-doubles by both Clark and Boston were not enough to stop the Dream as they went on to win the tightly contested 91-90 against the Indiana Fever. Clark, although disappointed with the loss, showed her leadership qualities as she went on to say, “We wanted to win this game, but this is great for our team. A little adversity, how are we going to respond? I have to give my team a lot of credit; we never gave up. We found a way to get back in it.”

As Fever tries to make a comeback after a hard-fought loss, let’s see who is and isn’t playing in the next game.

As Fever tries to make a comeback after a hard-fought 91–90 loss to the Dream, let’s assess the upcoming rematch. Both teams are seeking early momentum in the 2025 WNBA season, a matchup that could influence their Eastern Conference trajectories.

The Dream, who finished 15–25 in 2024 and secured the final playoff spot, are working to establish themselves as consistent contenders. Meanwhile, the Fever, coming off a 20–20 season, their best since 2015, are looking to deepen their postseason run by building on the developing synergy between CC and Boston.

Atlanta Dream Vs Indiana Fever injury report and lineup: Who’s in and who’s out?

The Atlanta Dream made a nice comeback in the 2nd game against the Fever after losing their season opener against the Washington Mystics. However, they did not make any changes to their starting lineup in the first two games. They are expected to run with the same team in their rematch against the Fever, and it will look like:

  • #2 – Guard – Te-Hina Paopao
  • #10 – Guard – Rhyne Howard
  • #15 – Guard – Allisha Gray
  • #24 – Forward – Brionna Jones
  • #42 – Center – Brittney Griner

There is also a big question around the availability of Dream Guard Jordin Canada, as she suffered an injury earlier. It was announced that Canada will be out for the game and her status is to be re-evaluated in two weeks. Canada’s absence removes a key defensive presence capable of matching Caitlin Clark’s quickness, potentially posing a challenge for the Dream’s perimeter defense.

What’s your perspective on:

Can Caitlin Clark and Aliyah Boston lead the Fever to a comeback victory against the Dream?

The Indiana Fever have also been performing well, putting up commendable numbers despite their loss on Tuesday. They have also not made any changes in their starting lineup for the first two games and are expected to keep running with the same squad. Their expected lineups will look like:

  • #0 – Guard – Kelsey Mitchell
  • #22 – Guard – Caitlin Clark
  • #25 – Forward – Guard – DeWanna Bonner
  • #6 – Forward – Natasha Howard
  • #7 – Center – Forward – Aliyah Boston

There are no new injuries with the Indiana Fever, but fans are keen on knowing when they will be able to see the preseason star, Sophie Cunningham, back in action. Cunningham is upgraded to being questionable for the Dream game and although her return seems unlikely, it will likely remain a gametime decision.
