Hines-Allen is currently on the sidelines due to an injury in her right lower leg. She is the leading rebounder for the Wings, and her injury is impacting the team. Las Vegas Aces vs Dallas Wings Prediction: Can Paige Bueckers and co win against the Aces?

On paper, both teams are equally matched. The Aces are averaging 80.4 points per game, while the Wings are averaging 81.8. Their number for per-game rebounds, assists, blocks, and steals are on par with each other. The Aces have a better points against score of 82.7 in comparison to 85.8. So, looking at the stats sheet, this must be a nailbiter game, right? But looking at the last five games of these two teams paints a different picture.

The Aces have a record of 3-2, while the Wings have only won one game in their last five games. Furthermore, the have a 2-0 advantage over the Aces. So why are the Aces dominating the Wings if they are both equally matched? It all comes down to the performance in crucial moments. The trio of Wilson, Gray, and Young has the experience of winning two championships. They, especially Wilson, are carrying the team on their back. On the other hand, Wings seems to be dependent on rookie Bueckers to lead the offense.

While the Wings’ wonder rookie has delivered on all fronts with 18.1 points and 5.6 assists per game, Bueckers still needs others to step up. Wilson is outclassing Bueckers in points per game (22), blocks per game (2.3), and rebounds per game (9). If this trend continues, we might see a third Aces win against the Wings. But in the WNBA, the script can change in an instant. So while the teams are equally matched, the Aces have a slight advantage in winning against the Wings. Even ESPN analytics gives a near equal probability for these two to win. The full result, however, will come forward on July 27.
