Lexie Hull’s playoff injuries have finally healed. Despite their injuries, the Indiana Fever guard was a key player, leading them to a Game 5 overtime battle in the semifinals against the Las Vegas Aces. Even though the WNBA season is over, Hull has no time off. She has two tasks at the top of her priority list: plan her wedding and prepare for Unrivaled hoops with Rose BC.

“This offseason has been great. Been able to be in Indy, in and out of Indy, doing a lot of fun things. Being able to train there has been awesome,” Hull said regarding her offseason so far. “Visiting friends, visiting family. There’s been so much over the last couple of months that it’s so nice to have time off to be here in the States and be able to go and visit them.” For Hull, playing offseason basketball in the country this year was especially important with the wedding coming up. And it seems the Indiana Fever star is working towards that as well, as she has announced her maid of honor.

Unfortunately for the fans who hoped it would be Caitlin Clark, it’s not. Lexie Hull’s twin sister, Lacie Hull, who played ball at Stanford too, will be the chief bridesmaid. It seems Hull sent her sister a gift package that presumably included a gold picture frame featuring the sisters on a beach, along with a few thoughtfully chosen gifts. At least these were visible in the Instagram story posted by Lacie.

The most important item, however, was a small note which read, “Will you be my Maid of Honor?” To which Lacie replied, “Yes times a million @LexieHull.” Hull reposted that story while writing, “Easiest decision ever.” Hull announced her engagement to her long-time boyfriend, Will Matthiessen, in April. Since then, Hull has been racking up wins with the Indiana Fever, only now getting a moment to finally dive back into wedding planning.

“Honestly, we haven’t had too much time to dive into the details yet, but it’s been fun so far. That’s probably the hardest part, trying to plan while we’re both so busy,” Hull said in November. While Clark might not be the maid of honor, she will definitely be involved in the bridal party along with the third of the tres leches, Sophie Cunningham. “They’ll definitely be at the wedding, but we’ll see about the bridal party lineup,” she teased last month.

Hull, Clark, and Cunningham have formed quite a bond over the last few months. While Hull and Clark were certified ‘besties’ after last season, Cunningham joined the team this year and blended right in. “YAYAYAYAYAYAYAYAYAYAYY SO HAPPY💕💕” Clark had commented after her engagement. As Hull continues to plan her wedding, which does not have a date yet as far as we know, she will look to improve in the Unrivaled further after a breakout WNBA season.

Lexie Hull Could Acquire A Killer Punch At The 2026 Unrivaled

Hull’s Rose Basketball Club beat Vinyl 62-54 last year to win the inaugural Unrivaled 3×3 league championship. Hull came off the bench to average 6.4 points,3.0 rebounds, and 1.6 assists in 14 games. Her experience in Unrivaled certainly had an impact on her 2025 WNBA, where she recorded career highs in points, assists, and rebounds, while averaging 7.2 points,1.8 rebounds, and 4.3 assists, shooting at 37% from the three-point line, and being an elite defender.

“Lexie came back a much more aggressive, assertive player from Unrivaled,” coach Stephanie White observed at Indiana’s exit interview. Last year, Hull wished to improve on her one-on-one defense in the 3v3 system. “You really have to take pride in that one-on-one defense,” Hull said before season 1. “I think when you’re playing five-on-five, you can count on at least one person having your back and help side, but it’s really hard here, because if you help, there’s an open 3 on the other side. So just making sure that we’re all really passionate about defending, it will start individually and then collectively.”

And it immediately showed at the 2025 WNBA season. She was among Indiana Fever’s best defenders with a defensive rating of 99.8. Keep in mind that Hull often guarded the best player of the opposing team. She improved her steal count from 0.6 per game in 2024 to 1.6 in 2025. This year, Hull could focus on the offensive end.

She does not have Angel Reese on her side anymore. And could play a bigger role with Kahleah Copper and Chelsea Gray at Rose BC. She made more than 76% of her shots from assists last WNBA season. If Hull sharpens her one-on-one scoring and downhill creation, Unrivaled could become the next catalyst in her rapid evolution.
