Caitlin Clark’s sneakers almost took the Indiana Fever to the Finals. Clark was already ruled out and cheering games from the sidelines, but her kicks were once the good luck charm for the Fever. It started when they were down 1-0 in their best-of-3 first-round series to the Atlanta Dream. She walked out on the court with her Black Nike Air Force 1s for the first time, and the Fever went 3-0 with Clark’s Air Force 1s on the sidelines.

“I mean, they’re working, so,” Lexie Hull had said following the Game 3 win against Atlanta. “We told her she’s bringing them in her bag, wearing them every day.” Ultimately, the Air Force 1 magic faded as the Fever lost out in Game 5 of the semifinals. So, of course, when Lexie Hull was asked who has the best “sneaker game” in the Fever locker room, there was only one answer.
“I would say I think Caitlin has the best sneaker game coz she I think gets the most amount of free shoes. Oh, also, Tash has a really good sneaker game. She has, like, back retro colorways, which I think is really cool.” Lexie Hull said during her sneaker closet tour on the Sole Retriever YouTube Channel.

Clark is a Nike signature athlete, so her sneaker variety is arguably the best across the league. Nike even released her signature Logo with the interlocking C’s, including a merchandise line. During a 2024 interview, Clark revealed what her favorite pair of sneakers was. “I’m a Kobe person, everybody knows that,” Clark said. “It’s the best shoe, it’s not even close. I probably like the Kobe 6s the best, which are the ones I have on right now. I like the 5s as well, but the 6s are kind of my thing.”

Even Natasha Howard is a Kobe enthusiast, wearing the Kobe 5 Protro “Year of the Mamba”, Kobe 5 “X-Ray”, Kobe 6 Protro “Dodgers”, and the Kobe 6 “Sail All-Star” in the 2025 season (according to Kixstats). However, that is until Clark gets her own signature shoe, which Lexie Hull is dying to wear.

When asked who the next WNBA athlete getting a signature shoe should be, she said, “I think Caitlin should be the next to get a signature shoe.” The interviewer further asked, “And when she gets her shoe, can we expect you to be wearing it?” Hull replied, “I will be wearing them for sure.”
Clark is already overdue for her own shoe. Nike has announced that it’s in the works and set to come out next year. However, she has already received her personal colorways, like the Nike Kobe 5 Protro “Indiana Fever” colorway that sold out within minutes. When asked what her favorite Nike Kobe sneakers are, Clark held up the Indiana Fever colorway, saying, “These ones right here. You’re going to have to get them.”
But will Lexie Hull be wearing them in a Fever shirt? She is a restricted free agent this offseason for the very first time. “I’m a restricted free agent, so I think that changes things a little bit,” Hull said. “I’ve loved my years here in Indiana. Obviously, with a lot of uncertainty, you don’t know what’s to come, but I’ve built a life here. I love this franchise. I love the people, the fans, so we’ll see what comes.” If we judge by the atmosphere right now, Fever should try and retain her, but a lot can change by the time 2026 arrives.

Especially with the CBA situation yet to be sorted out. Even if Hull moves away from the Fever, she will likely still rep Clark wherever she goes, considering the bond between the two. While Clark’s kicks are top-notch, her fashion statements have caught the eye of the professionals, too.
Caitlin Clark Gets A Special Invite From Miss Indiana
The WNBA and fashion crossovers have been wild this season. Angel Reese became the first athlete to walk the Victoria’s Secret runway, and then Miss Indiana, Sydney Shrewsbury, honored Caitlin Clark during the preliminary rounds of the Miss USA pageant. Shrewsbury sent waves after appearing in a sparkling shorts-and-jersey set prominently featuring Clark’s iconic number 22. After that heartfelt dedication, Shrewsbury had a striking request for Clark.
“I will say we would love to have her here at the Finals, they’re on Friday,” Shrewsbury told TMZ. “Also, it’s not up to me, but it would be cool if she could judge in the future as well.” We are not so sure Clark would be up to the task, yet. Before the season began, Clark said that she mostly just wears what her stylist, Adri Zgirdea, tells her to wear, which “makes it easy to show up for games.”
However, she was in the process of picking out her tunnel fits herself, but she prefers comfort over the flashy headline-grabbing fits. “I think just finding whatever you feel comfortable in and what you enjoy wearing—that makes game days fun,” she said. “It doesn’t always have to be stressful. Though at times it is stressful.”

Prada has been her favorite brand so far, the same brand she appeared in at the 2024 draft night and then multiple times over her WNBA career so far. She did confess that finding the pieces and silhouettes that let her feel most like herself in the tunnel has turned into one of the job’s unexpected joys. “It’s become more and more popular,” she said. So, maybe Caitlin Clark can extensively explore fashion down the line, like she has with golf and playing the LPGA Pro Am.
