For the past few years now, we have seen how beautiful the bond that Lisa Bluder and Caitlin Clark share really is. Supporting each other through the thick and thin, this Iowa duo changed the image of NCAA women’s basketball for centuries to come. But after the historic couple of years, a lot changed. For starters, the Des Moines native stepped into the professional world and Bluder announced her retirement, passing the torch to the next Hawkeyes generation. Another change that the ex-Iowa coach will soon experience is the rush of a wedding.
It is not Caitlin Clark! But the wedding bells have indeed started ringing. At least for the Bluder family. Lisa’s second daughter Emma Bluder, who paved her path separate from the family business of sports and stitched the right fits in the fashion world has said, “Yes at Jenny Yoo!” The former Iowa Hawkeyes coach shared the big news with her Instagram family by writing, “So thankful to share this adventure with Emma!! She is going to be a beautiful bride.”
One person who of course could not resist showing love for this family publicly is the NCAA’s all-time leading scorer Caitlin Clark. She quickly went to the post to comment, “Love this for u ❤️🔥.” But she was not done as she also added, “Mother of the bride szn activated 😎.”

It is true that Lisa Bluder, who was making rounds to watch her Hawkeyes in the WNBA, will not be much free for quite some time. It can be quite a responsibility to be a bride’s mother, especially when they have all eyes set on them, considering many U of I family members were quick to celebrate this big news.
Caitlin Clark’s Iowa squad is ready for a wedding blast
The Iowa bond truly stays intact no matter what happens or how far the people go. Hence, after Caitlin Clark, who we all know always stays on her phone, the current Hawkeyes head coach and others too jumped in. To lead the way was the assistant head coach for the women’s basketball program– Abby Emert Stamp. She commented on the photo of Emma that Bluder had posted, calling the bride-to-be beautiful.
Jan Jensen also commented, “😊 so happy for you get this time together! So exciting!” Indeed, over her 24-year-long head coaching career at the University of Iowa, Lisa Bluder could barely give time to her family. Her husband, David Bluder, took the responsibility for the three children while the 63-year-old carried Hawkeyes. Now that she is free, Lisa would surely want to spend some quality time with her family.
