With all fans and players looking forward to the ratings release, the day has finally come. With NBA 2K’s official X handle releasing the top-10 WNBA players, everyone was excited to see who the best player in this year’s edition is, and the answer did not disappoint. No stranger to leading the table with her Minnesota Lynx, with a rating of 98, Napheesa Collier is officially the best WNBA player in NBA 2K26.
“99 or nothing Ronnie.” This was the message from the leading 2025 MVP candidate, Collier, to the makers of the upcoming edition of NBA 2K. While she is 1 rating point short, she can be content with the fact that she has outranked two of the most exciting players in the league, Caitlin Clark (fourth with 96) and Angel Reese (tenth with 90). Celebrating the feat, Napheesa Collier retweeted the post with a cheeky emoji.

These ratings are not just mere numbers; they are proof of the fact. Throughout the season, Napheesa Collier has displayed her dominance over the league. As of now, she is averaging 23.5 points, 7.5 rebounds, and 3.5 assists per game. What’s even more impressive is the efficiency she is doing all that. From the floor, Collier is shooting 53.7% and from beyond the three-point arc, 36.8%. She is doing all this while leading the Minnesota Lynx to a dominant 2025 season. Currently, the Lynx hold a record of 27-5 and have already secured a playoff spot.

They are almost certain of locking in the first seed and have the home court throughout the playoffs. But that’s not enough. Under Napheesa Collier’s leadership, the Minnesota Lynx have a chance to record the most wins in a WNBA regular season. However, their remaining schedule is not going to be any picnic. Of their remaining 12 fixtures, 10 are against the teams that are in playoff spots. They are yet to play the Indiana Fever in the regular season, with two games away from home. The Lynx would have marked these games in red after the shocking loss in the Conference Cup finals.

Napheesa Collier Remains Heavy Favorite for MVP
As the 2025 WNBA regular season culminates, the race for regular-season awards is also becoming clear. While the Rookie of the Year race is almost certain to be over, the MVP race is a little closer. According to BETMGM, Napheese Collier is a -450 to win the award. Her closest competitors for the award are Alyssa Thomas and A’ja Wilson. Alyssa’s odds of winning the award stand at +250. While A’ja Wilson is further back with odds of +1600.
Coming into the season, Napheesa Collier was not the favorite for the MVP award. Per BETMGM, A’ja Wilson was the favorite (+200) to win her second consecutive and fourth overall MVP. The second favorite in the race for the award was Caitlin Clark (+250). Collier’s odds of winning the MVP stood at +650. However, with the Aces’ struggle early in the season and Caitlin Clark’s injury, both were quickly ruled out of the race.

But their absence or lack of performance aside, Napheesa Collier’s performances have left no doubt for fans and analysts. If the odds hold up, Collier will finally win the award after losing out to A’ja Wilson. However, an ankle injury has made things tricky for her. Right now, she has enough of an edge over Alyssa Thomas, but if she is unable to return before the regular season ends, things can get interesting.
