As the Los Angeles Sparks’ losing streak extended to six, the spotlight was snatched by a bright green adult toy landing inside the arc as Sparks’ forward Jihyun Park was about to take a free throw. The incident caught the attention of Chicago Sky guard Natasha Cloud, who did not hold back in her comments towards fans who pull such stunts.

“Y’all lame as f***. Sorry, mama. I just, man, and like, in most of these occasions, it’s men. And I want you to know that is the g***** thing that you can do is to go to a store, a s** shop, buy a d****, come to a women’s game to throw the d**** on the court. That is the g***** s*** that I’ve ever heard.”

Cloud’s outrage, as showcased in the clip shared by Brick Center on X, stems from the fact that men are showing up at WNBA games and causing problems for the league. During the game between the Sparks and Atlanta Dream, Park was at the FT line with 2:59 minutes left in the third quarter when the object landed on the court. The referee blew her whistle to stop play. Players scrambled to cover the object with a towel before Sparks forward Cameron Brink was seen kicking the object towards the sidelines, where it was finally removed.

Cloud did not stop there. She went on to criticize how such disruptions affect the flow of an otherwise very serious game.

“The men that are throwing it, also shows that you are weak, like extremely weak. And it says a lot about how you feel about women, but we don’t care. It’s a disruption of the game. Y’all lame as s*** to us.”

The game truly was disrupted, with the focus shifting completely from basketball. Dream guard Angel Reese’s 20-point, 10-rebound double-double was overshadowed by her reaction to the occurrence. Videos showcase her reacting immediately as the object landed on the court, standing up and pointing towards who she thought had thrown it. Reese can be seen shouting what seemed to be “Get him, get him” before pointing out that the individual was wearing a jersey numbered 77.

The suspect responsible for the disruption was apprehended soon after. According to a report by USA Today, the accused attempted to flee the arena past security, but was arrested. He has now been banned from all NBA, WNBA, and affiliated games indefinitely. The league is collaborating with the legal system to hold such people accountable for their actions.

Despite Cloud’s comments, what is surprising is that this is not the first time the WNBA has been plagued by such an issue.

WNBA Faces a Return of the Adult Toy Problem as Natasha Cloud Makes Her Displeasure Apparent

This counts as the second time in two consecutive seasons that the WNBA has faced a problem with adult toys being thrown on the court. In the summer of 2025, a number of the W’s games were interrupted by adult toys being thrown during the game.

Last season, August 1 saw a Golden State Valkyries vs Chicago Sky game interrupted by an adult toy bouncing across the hardwood, causing the crucial moments of the game to be interrupted. Chicago Sky forward Elizabeth Williams described the interruption as “super disrespectful,” per the BBC.

Even Minnesota head coach Cheryl Reeve commented on the matter, per the BBC.

“This has been going on for centuries. The sexualization of women. This is the latest version of that. And it’s not funny and it should not be the b*** of jokes on radio shows, or in print or any comments”

Before this, July 29 saw a Golden State Valkyries at Atlanta Dream game interrupted by another adult toy. The throwing did not stop. By the time the playoffs rolled around, there had been several separate instances of adult toys being thrown on court to disrupt the W games.

After the Sky-Valkyries game interruption, Indiana Fever star Sophie Cunningham took to X to express her frustrations with the throwing.

“Stop throwing d***** on the court. You’re going to hurt one of us.”

Ironically, Cunningham was grazed by an adult toy thrown on the court during an Indiana Fever vs Los Angeles Sparks game. Cunningham took the opportunity to make a funny comment about it, as a follow-up to her previous X post.

“This did NOT age well.”

While Cunningham chose to make light of the situation, clearly the problem has not gone away. With a sudden return this season, Natasha Cloud’s strong opposition to the interruptions to WNBA games comes at a time when the league is reaching its most popular phase. With the 2026 WNBA All-Star game out-selling the 2026 NBA All-Star game, the popularity is attracting a huge number of fans. Unfortunately, it is also attracting disruptive elements who are interrupting WNBA games.
