When Angel Reese gave 19 points despite being on minutes restriction as she just made a return from back injury, Chicago Sky head coach couldn’t help but share, “I thought she played great…I think she gave us everything that she had” he said in a post game press conference after falling against Seattle Storm by 94-88. No doubt, Tyler Marsh’s right as for a player with an output of double digit points after missing out seven games due to injury is huge.
But, all her efforts aren’t really enough to translate into wins for struggling Windy City team, it seems. The question is: Will they grab a win anytime soon? For the next few games, Sky will be playing against the Phoenix Mercury, defending champions NY Liberty and two time WNBA champions Las Vegas Aces. But, if Sky wants to sabotage other teams’ playoff run, they’ve got a chance in the upcoming game against Liberty.

NY Liberty vs Chicago Sky Prediction
No doubt, the Sky are on a five game losing streak but still they’re averaging 77.6 points on 1.9 percent shooting while allowing 88.9 points on 45 percent shooting. All thanks to Angel Reese, who’s averaging 14.4 points per game and 12.3 rebounds per game, alongside Kamilla Cardoso who’s the third double digit scorer on the roster. But, as per the latest injury report, Angel Reese is predicted to be out for the upcoming game.
So, losing out on an 14.4 points in a crucial game versus Liberty, one of the top teams in the league and the defending champions is not ideal. On top of that, the NY Liberty are currently at the top of the Eastern Conference with a 22-13 record. Also, they are averaging 86.5 points per game while shooting 45.5 percent from the field and allow an average of 81.6 points per game.

So that’s why the New York Liberty are the heavy favorites going into the game. But, if we’ve learnt something from the Sky’s play throughout the season, its that they’re unpredictable and can grab a win when they’re given less chances to win. So, what do you think? Will the Chicago Sky be able to grab a win against Liberty or will they add another win to the NY Liberty’s record?
